Perfectly Frank

So I'm trying to make Frank the Fruit Fly for the Game Boy. I was working on this most of yesterday and I guess I worked too hard because I had an eyeache last night. Although that might have been due to the temperature. It was 107 yesterday and if I am exposed to an air conditioner a lot, I get sick for some reason. Anyway, I have been trying to make a smoothless transition between screens. I'm guessing it's not possible. So I just hid the background after each screen change, making it flash white when you exit a screen and go to the next one (or previous one.) I guess it has to be that way, but it probably doesn't matter since it's not going to be released. Or perhaps I'm a perfectionist. So anyway, I put in a screen with a giant cat. You're supposed to go inside the cat and fly out through its ear. When I'm done when you go into the cat's mouth, the screen will change to the inside of a cat's throat with passages to its ear. You fly up the passages, the screen changes back to the cat, and you're on the other side of its head and you can go forward. That's what I'm planning. I haven't got that far yet since I spent all of yesterday and part of today trying to make a seamless screen change. But unless someone at the Game Boy development forums has an idea, it will have to be this way. I played it on GBC, it looks fine (except for the screen change flash.) Here is a picture of the cat.

I like the cat... it is unique... very stylized. icon_smile.gif

Sometimes when programming or at the computer in general, I forget to blink. Hahah, I know, weird right? Well, maybe you are forgetting too; it may have something to do with your eyes aching? Also staying up too long or getting up too early to program can make me feel ill. Strange... and tonight I've stayed up much too long.
