Goshzila
I wanted to work on Frank the Fruit Fly but having no ideas for it caused me to skip that today. So I worked on "Giant Reptile Monster." I named him: Goshzila. There's a reason for one L instead of 2, but it's due to the Odyssey 2, so we'll skip it.
I added a title screen with Goshzila running in place. I also changed the fire sprite so it is random, much like the colorful shield in Yars Revenge, only it's red, 3 pixels tall and not very wide. But that's okay since Goshzila isn't very big anyway. I also changed it so if a human is burnt, a new one appears randomly on the screen. In the last version, the game just starts over. This is in preparation for a score to put in. I don't feel like doing it tonight, so it will wait.
I slept a lot today. I didn't get to sleep until 2 a.m. As a result, I slept until about 2 p.m. Went to check on the world, and, as a result of it still being here, slept for a couple more hours. What caused me to suddenly work on an Odyssey 2 game? My copy of Dungeon of Eternity came here from France a couple days ago. I've yet to play it, and I am afraid I won't know how because I've never played Rogue before.
I still don't know what the whole idea of Goshzila the game is. I do know that I want it to involve burning humans and avoiding power poles and stuff. Perhaps this is a case of me fleshing out the idea and goal as I work on the game.
