Trees and ponds

I had a marathon coding session last night which made my bedtime around 2 a.m. Just woke up about an hour ago. This one was for Skiing, the new Channel F game I've been working on. I've added some new obstacles.

A tree and a pond now show up randomly, randomly placed. Also, the flags are now at a random x position. But they aren't really obstacles yet since you can go right through them with nothing happening. Collision detection should be easier than normal since the skier stays at the same y position throughout the game while the obstacles are the only thing moving upwards, (hopefully) giving the effect that the skier is moving downwards.

I also thought about scoring. Since this is a different game than a timed game to see how fast you can finish a course (the type of game I attempted to do with the Odyssey 2 "Chris the Cranberry" that nobody seemed to like), this means the scoring has to be different. The score will be at the bottom. But how to score? Make it be two minutes to clear everything? Or just have the player keep going? If I decide to go that route, it would be a one hit and dead game like an Odyssey 2 game. And I probably would make it so the obstacles get faster the more you get into the game, like my Running Zyx game for the Jaguar. It would be a point for each tree and pond to avoid and a point for going between the flags. If you want to try the game, it's available on its website.
