News break
I guess a break from the news is what I need. It's kind of hard when you watch the news and all they're talking about is a dangerous virus that kills people. But now I have to continue watching the news because it started to snow here. I woke up at about 1 a.m. and was surprised to see a dusting of snow on the ground. So I am watching the Weather Channel (less chance of them talking about the stupidvirus), and watching some dumb reality show about extreme weather. I don't think we're going to have any tornadoes come through, although there was one nearby about this time about a decade ago.
Now it's 33 degrees and light snow. Which is unusual here because of the fact that it's March 14. What's even weirder that apparently in a town ten or twenty miles away it's 36 and raining. And in the other direction it's snowing like it is here.
I don't watch the national news when I don't have to. I usually watch the local news when it's on. Like now, for instance, I don't have a choice because everyone's asleep here at 2:30 a.m. and there's no news on. But it's snowing.
