Burgers on the mountain (NES)

I got frustrated working on the Atari 2600 version of the game, so I went back to work on the NES version. I will likely give up the 2600 version because it wasn't being up to my high standards. The last time I was working on the NES version was a month ago. I thought about where I left off and I figured out that I needed a new song for the mountain level. I thought to myself "Self, what would be a good song about a mountain be?"

- "Billy the Mountain" Frank Zappa (too long)

- "First There Is a Mountain" Donovan (probably copyrighted)

I needed a song about a mountain IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN. Then I thought about that old song "She'll be Coming Down the Mountain When She Comes." If that isn't in the public domain I'm still using it because it took a while to figure out the notes to it. (We used to sing that in grade school. All of us third and fourth graders would sit into the B pod place. They called them "pods". A pod was 1-2, B pod was 3-4, and C pod was 5-6. And sing songs that some old lady played on the piano. That was probably one of them. How I remember this I have no idea.)

So anyway I figured out the notes and put the song in there. I got it in the key of F major. I was trying for C major. But F major is still kind of easy because it only has one flat, whereas C has no flats nor sharps. Now with that done, I need to think of a new screen for the fifth level.

Night on Bald Mountain was composed 1867, orchestrated 1886. Mussorgsky passed away 140 years ago, Rimsky-Korsakov has been dead for 113 years. Except for if you use a modern rearrangement as your basis, I think it would fall under free music.

Perhaps though it would give the level too much of an enchanted feeling, like those are witchcraft burgers.
