Inside the castle

Here is Jack in room 1 of the castle.

I decided to make the castle like this so I can place stuff freely in it and if it touches the wall, Jack can still grab it. Jack can't move yet, but I designed a walking Jack (as opposed to a climbing Jack) Of course making the grid like this requires more bytes (just my luck) so I am probably going to have to scale back the number of rooms per floor. I'm aiming for 15 rooms. So that means there will probably be 8 floors (a big castle!) I snuck a peek at my Haunted House game. I wonder why I quit doing it. I guess I got angry at it and rage-quit work on it.

I am in the middle of designing the first floor. Pretty soon I will attempt to have Jack move around in the castle. I don't want to work on it right now since my head hurts from thinking too much.

I am going to have each floor be a different color. Since 2 of them are taken by Jack and his coat, they aren't going to be red nor yellow. This leaves 6 colors. Two of them will have to be used twice. Or I could just use 4 of them and have use each twice.

I'm wondering whether I should put the floor number on the screen or not. So anyway, this is what inside the castle will look like.

So after putting the code in, I realized I would have room for less than 10 rooms. I had done some wrong math and misestimated how much space a room's data would be. So now in order to fit 15 rooms per floor, the castle must look like this:

I also took some time to make Jack movable. I like the little walking animation even though it's only two frames.
