Want $150?

I'm giving away $150 as a prize of a contest I'm running. The contest is designing artwork for the Odyssey² game I made called "Jack and the Beanstalk." The winner gets the artwork design used as the cover of the game. I had this contest idea since Marc was having trouble trying to come up with artwork for the game. A few blog entries ago, I posted something I did. Since it won't be used, you can use that as an idea.

A little bit about the game:

Jack must make his way up the beanstalk, go through the castle to find the key to enter the room where the giant is waiting, make his way up to the top of the rooms while avoiding boulders the giant throws, go back through the castle and back down the beanstalk.

I'm hoping for at least one entry for the contest so I can get the game finally published since I worked so hard on it. It'd be a shame to waste all that time for nothing. You can find more details about the contest in the Odyssey² subforum.

Nothing else is happening in terms of me programming. I haven't worked on anything these last couple of days. Instead I focused more on my own personal projects I do for my own amusement. And trying to fix my VCR. I thought it was dead. Sure, it turned on, but that blue screen I use for input 2 for plugging y/w/r cables in to play some consoles wasn't coming on. I gave up once. Then I decided if it was turning on then it should give me the blue screen. So I played around with it some more and FINALLY got it. Now I can play some PSX or Dreamcast or N64 again.

While my thing was "dead," I learned how to use the RF on the back of the SNES which I used to play some Super Mario World. I was playing the NES version and I was having a tough go with it. I was unable to pass world 1. So I thought I had gotten bad at playing it, so to test my ability, I played the SNES version. As it turns out, I am much better at playing the SNES version than I am the pirates' NES version.
