A late winter night's dream

I went through my Game Boy collection. I noticed several games were released for the Game Boy that are also on the Atari 2600. Centipede, Missile Command, Asteroids. I like the ones in the stand-alone cartridges because that's how they were made originally. I mean, Missile Command and Asteroids are two separate games, why put them on the same cartridge? In that vein, I thought I'd try my hand at something like those Atari games...

All I have done is the title screen. That's all I'm going to work on today. It was very hard and strange getting the text on screen. But I made a little tune for the screen. You can download the .gb file because I attached it.

I'm going to try to make it similar to the arcade game as I possibly can. I know there is no music on the arcade version, but I put in the Game Boy games mentioned above and they all had music on their title screens. So I composed and put a little tune on the title screen.

Also, I was doing the crossword again. Sometimes I like to do it. My local paper is apparently going digital soon, I'm not sure, so my days of doing it are numbered. I noticed the word "lao" was in yesterday's and today's crossword. That is why I try to avoid using the same word twice consecutively when I make my 26 Squares puzzles. I'm up to 9 puzzles made with no word repeated. I made a couple more last night, so I'm done with that until about mid-May. I guess I've been having way too much fun constructing them, but I need to take a break and work on Tempest some more.
