I'm going to learn how to write software for the Oric computers (not to be confused with Oreck vacuum cleaners). Right now, I'm pre-Hello-World stage (learning where to get and how to use software in order to do this.) I've joined the Defence-Force forums, but they're not really all that active. I have OSDK, and am trying to learn how to use it. It's a little difficult right now because I don't know what the Oric is capable of in terms of how to program for it (apparently I can use BASIC, which is kinda close to Batari Basic, so that's good.) I've played some Oric games (4kQix, BreakOric, 1kSnake are my favorites so far), so I know what the Oric is capable of graphically. So far, it doesn't seem to have that good of sound (very limited SFX, only a couple different noises I've heard so far), but I figure with patience, I could probably make something for the 2008 Minigame Competition (that is, if they have one next year.)

In other news, I've renamed BStar "Halloween Havoc" and changed the title screen to reflect it. I'll work on making another puzzle tomorrow and then post it in the bBasic forums. I figure if GoSub can have 19 screens, I can at least put in 20 with 4 whole KBs to fill up with playfield commands (the last bank). I plan to release it with Shawn Sr.'s help sometime in October, so right now, HH has the number AE03 (AE01 is GoSub, coming out on June 11th; and AE02 is Alien Greed, which doesn't have a release date yet.)
