Switchblade II
Welcome from the Land o'Lynx. Now I'll review Switchblade II. The thing I'd like to know most of all is where is Switchblade I? Anyway, Switchblade II is basically like Toki only a little bit easier and with codes, but they are kind of hard to activate. At the title screen, you're supposed to move the buttons on the + pad clockwise until you see a flash and then repeatedly press up. Whose "brilliant" idea was that? I'd much rather have a sequence of buttons to press than some convoluted code like that. Well, anyway, this game has the basic codes: Infinite energy, infinite ammo, etc., which is very good. At the end of one of the levels in level 1 is this thing you have to shoot at a lot while simultaneously dodging it, which is very difficult (unless you're using the code for infinite energy.) With the infinte energy, though, there is a spot in the second stage where I got stuck, and therefore stopped playing. So, the bottom line is this: If you wanted Toki to have an infinite energy code, this is the game for you. A so-so game at best.
