DS vs. PSP: 3:0
Hi there! Here we go with another no-brainer: Castlevania DS scores for the DS, so after Another Code and Advance Wars DS my private "Handheld War" standings are now:3:0 for the DS!Well, well, I hear the first voices calling me biased towards the DS, so let's have a closer look at why there's no points for the PSP from me so far.Simply put, my main interest are strategy, adventure and rpg titles, with the occasional exception here and there. I don't like sports titles at all and only rarely play racing or beat'em up games. Now, the PSP was launched in Germany 10 days ago, with a starting line-up of no less than 8, I repeat eight(!) racing games! Phew... give me a break... I mean, just how many racing games do you need for a console? For the GBA I'm happy with just one (Mario Kart, of course). But ok... maybe there's a good enough market here for selling 8 different racing games in the same month... ;)What else does the PSP offer so far? Lumines. Well, if I were more into puzzle games I'd go for the DS anyway. But I ain't. Probably nice to have, but the available puzzler library won't influence my buying descission much.Metal Gear Acid. Hm... well, if it had seen better reviews...7-8 sports games. Hate 'em or Ignore 'em, but I won't love 'em :lol:Another 5-6 avaragely rated action games (Fired Up, Coded Arms, Spider-Man 2...). Ok, I can have tons of them on the GBA already. Finally the line-up is completed by 2 wanna-be Action RPGs, Untold Legends and Medievil Resurrection...See, I told ya: Nothing in the mix for me!Know what makes me really happy? In a few days Fire Emblem 2 is released in Germany! For my good old GBA! YAY ;)Will be interesting to see if the PSP manages to catch up in the last months before X-Mas. Right now a DS victory looks like a safe bet to me.Greetings,Manuel
