New penny

So I went to Wal-Mart today and finally got around to buying Season 6 Volume 1 of SpongeBob SquarePants (I'm a big fan of the show), and it was only $17.96. Good thing, too, because I got four pennies in change, and one of them is the new 2010 penny with the shield on the back. I first heard about the shield penny on a coin show on TV (the one where they try to sell coins). They said they're really rare and that you wouldn't get one in change, which has been true for the first few months of this year, but I finally got one. Looks like they got rid of the Lincoln monument on the back. It's just another rainy cold June day here, and we in Oregon are getting mighty sick of it raining all the time. You'd think June would be in the '80s, but no, we have not had a high above 80 so far this year. And this rain is making me really tired like it always does. Have been hitting eBay a lot to see if I could find Crash Dive, Dishaster and Tanks But No Tanks (among other R5 games.) Are they REALLY worth $25? And does it really take at least $4 to ship one game? I know it took me $5.50 to ship two 5200 games, but they're bigger and the box was bigger than it should have been (I couldn't find a small enough box.), but come on, people! And does it really take $3 to ship a GameCube manual? They're big enough to fit in a regular size envelope! Just put a few extra stamps on it, and it'd only be about $1.60!

There are several kinds of eBay shippers:

1. Those who use the shipping cost to boost their profit on the item.

2. Those who ship via courier and use online rate calculators.

3. Those who ship so many items they can't be bothered to price each item individually.

4. Those who ship so many of the same item they know exactly how much it will cost.

5. Those who take the time and effort to figure out the actual shipping cost.

6. Those who don't know, so put in something which sounds like it will cover the cost.

And yes, shipping is sometimes ridiculous. But the cost of shipping materials, insurance, etc, and add up remarkably quickly.
