New record player: day 2

So this is day 2 of having my record player and I've noticed that every single sleeve has been lying about its length, the length seems to be longer by about 20-40 seconds for songs that take up a whole side. It makes me wonder if maybe this record player is going at 34 RPM or something. Case in point: I got a record in the mail today. It says side two is 30:22, it turned out to be 29:32. It seems like the longer the track, the more off the said time is. I guess it's better than my old piece of junk which seemed to play the record slower than it actually was. And when it was done playing the side, there was some black stuff stuck to the needle. I played the first few seconds on the other record player and it seemed to work fine, so it might not have been the vinyl after all, just some black dirt. Next, I'll be getting Tempest 2000 for the Jaguar in the mail. It's supposed to be a good game, and I desperately need another game for it (I only have two.) Now you might be shocked by this next sentence. I have never played any version of Tempest. So, it'll be fun seeing what I think of the game.
