Wonder Boy (2600) WIP

I started working on a Wonder Boy (AKA Adventure Island) clone a couple weeks ago, I thought I'd share this little demo :) The graphics are placeholders, of course. Physics are also terrible at the moment. The kernel currently supports:

* Single line resolution P0 with color update every line

* Single line resolution P1 with solid color

* Single line resolution BL

* 5 buffered (scrollable) 16 line asymmetrical PF rows

Edit: I changed around the Kernel a bit and it now supports the ball sprite.

Let me know what you think!

what scrolling? by the time i get to jump or move all hell breaks loose...

first the platform/mountains get distorted, the health bar keeps refill all the time, the score counts infinitely by itself and the fall move goes veeeery slow as if you play oblivion in Pentium 300mhz...

BUT! i really like that you gives the opportunity for something to wait for (did that sound correct?)

i'm looking forward to your next version :)

btw horizontal scrolling is fluid looks good ;)

Thanks Cybergoth!

@Ethaniel, I did say it was a WIP ;) The health, score, and remaining lives cycle to demonstrate that they are working. Are you talking about when you hold the fire button to jump and the player wraps around vertically? This is because some Player 1 and Playfield pointers/buffers are overwritten causing the screen to display garbage in some areas. Don't worry, all will be fixed :)
