Pac Man vs The Hippo pt 17
Harry and Pac Man decide to journey back to Hogwarts. They scour the library,
particularly the paranormal section, to understand the WHY behind Pac Man's
ghost problem. They come across a book called "The Handbook" written by H.R. Beeman.
Here are a few meaningful passages:
"It is against natural law for a parent to bury a child, yet the law of God is defined by it."
"No suicide is completely voluntary, for the snuff of life pits the mind against the body.
What was first determination turns to regret - in the moment directly after one's death, not
before - a regret of body, not mind."
After reading more Harry turns to Pac Man:
"You know, Pac Man," Harry explains. "The Ghostbusters revealed to me the truth about my own
existence: that each outside stimuli embodies a conscious or subconscious desire within me at
a given moment of time. And my existence is merely a shattering of my own ego, a constant
tug and pull that tells me to do this or do that, or I am this and I am that. What was once
inside is now outside - for either way it must manifest itself somewhere."
Pac Man looks confused: "What does this have to do with me and the ghosts?"
"You've come to represent my own suicidal tendencies, Pac Man. You are not able to eat the
ghosts because somewhere deep within myself I want to extinguish my existence. I don't
understand yet where it's coming from. I feel happy and content with my life. I enjoy it.
Perhaps we need to consult a priest. It may be demonic."
