Upcoming DS games I want

Well, the DS is slowly winding down to the end of its lifespan. That doesn't mean it can't have good games come out. Here's a list of what I want that'll be coming out in the coming months:

Atari's Greatest Hits Vol. 1 - 11/2/10

Atari's Greatest Hits Vol. 2 - 3/8/11

Centipede - 3/29/11

Intellivision Lives! - 10/19/10

Jeopardy! - 11/2/10

Mario Vs. DK : Miniland Mayhem - 11/14

Powershot Pinball Constructor - Q4 2010

Super Scribblenauts - 10/12

Wheel of Fortune - 11/2/10

Since my birthday will be on a Tuesday this year, that means games will be coming out on the same day as it (Nov. 2.) As it just so happens, 3 I want will be this year. It's sad, my favorite handheld will be dying soon. It had a great run (6 years!) and am wishing that Nintendo wouldn't come out with the 3DS, it doesn't really have to compete with Sony, who isn't putting any new handheld out. So why bother? Maybe it will do an epic fail and we'll return to normal DS games. I still play the DS I got on or near launch day (I can't remember it's been so long!) So it's why bother now buying a DSi with the 3DS coming out in March. If it really is $300, it might actually fail, I mean, who in this economy is going to spend $300 for a new handheld system with the PSP out?

I agree that $300 is a little steep for a handheld game system - 3D or not. And right now there aren't that many games on my must-buy list. But I doubt there will be a resurgence in DS games. Nintendo might just be forced to cut the price if sales don't meet expectations. (But I wouldn't hold my breath.)

There have been rumblings of a PSP2. But now that Nintendo has announced the 3DS, I suspect Sony will be going back and putting a 3D screen into the PSP as well. The real question for Sony is whether they will try to stick with downloads or go back to media for games.
