Quick, Robin...To The Bat-Console!
I haven't been doing much in the way of game buying for awhile...that is one reason I haven't posted anything here in nearly a year. But recently I've been interested in reading about older comic books...and by the same way of thinking, my interest in video games inspired by comics has also been reactivated. I don't know if I want to get every super-hero game available for systems I own...but I might consider going for all such games involving the heroes of DC Comics. I've been ordering several such games lately and a few have already arrived (and one I bought in a regular store). The ones I brought home just recently...
1. Batman: The Brave and the Bold (Nintendo DS)
2. Batman: Dark Tomorrow (Xbox)
3. Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu (GameCube)
Among the others on their way here: Catwoman and Teen Titans for the GameCube, Superman: Shadow of Apokolips for the PS2 and for the Xbox: Superman: The Man of Steel and Superman Returns. Now I don't have to get every game for every console, even among the DC hero games...for instance, since I'm getting Superman: Shadow of Apokolips for the PS2, I don't feel I truly need to also get the GameCube version of the same game...likewise, since I'm getting Superman Returns for the Xbox, I don't really need the PS2 version.
I noticed that Superman Returns was one of the last 10 games released for the Xbox so I looked to see what was the very last game released for the system. I believe it is Madden NFL 09...not too surprisingly, a Madden game was also the last released for the GameCube. I decided to order a copy of Madden 09 so I could have a copy of the last regular Xbox game...it wasn't as cheap as I thought it would be. I had to pay over $30 for it. To make it a bit more palatable to me, I ordered a couple other games at the same time that were available really cheap...NFL 2K5 (45 cents!) and Major League Baseball 2K7, which I think might be the last baseball game made for the Xbox. In the last week I have bought or ordered about a dozen games...luckily most of them are definitely of the dirt cheap variety...and I'll try to abstain from further gaming purchases until they have all arrived.
Okay, so I did buy one other Nintendo DS game today (Retro Atari)...you know how weak we gamers are...
