Hey kids, a tornado has touched down in Aumsville, a town close to the big city of Salem, which is about 50 miles south of the biggest city of Portland. I'm surprised of all the coverage this has got. It happened at 11:45am, and here 4 hours later, KGW (channel is still covering it. Even though I've never been there, I was surprised at all the destruction, this is Oregon here after all. A business called Nichols Plumbing got completely destroyed, luckily the owner Juanita was away or else she would have been there. Luckily, there were no reports of major injury, let alone any deaths. So if any major national news happens (like the President dying or something), I'd have to switch over to say CNN or Fox News or something, because I doubt the local news will be talking about anything else except this tornado. The water tower in Aumsville is leaning, so I guess you could say it's the Leaning Tower of Aumsville. Well, you could imagine my surprise when I woke up at about 1 in the afternoon to news of a tornado. I did have some wild weather last night at about 1 or 2 am with downpours, and the lights flickering, luckily I didn't lose power or anything.
