Wishes for Insect Combat

OK, here's what I'm thinking for Insect Combat. I want to make at least a 4 Megabit game out of this, the same size as Mario's Tennis and Panic Bomber. Right now I can't seem to break the 512k mark, though. I am hoping that will change, as I will need to put in some animation for all 8 characters. I have it set in my mind that each animation frame set will be one character segment/map (all one picture in layman's terms, cutting and pasting relevant parts of the picture of all frames of animation.) I was wondering whether to have the insect face the other way when going left, but then I figured since this is a fighting game, he doesn't need to and it'll look like he's backing away. I think the hardest part of all will be controlling the computer player's movements, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. What would also be cool is to put some battery-powered save memory in here, which I would use to keep track of how many fights you've won and lost, which I would put in a menu at the start. I would also have an option to view some credits here, too. As soon as I put all of the credits in, I thought I might compose a little ditty to play while you're viewing them, because right now they're kind of slow (yes, I have begun to program that in.) I also would like the guy making the sprites to let me post what he's done so far, but he thinks it's a good idea to surprise everyone and not let me post them until the game is somewhat finished, which is a shame because IMO they're real good and need to be posted. AFAIK, there are only two finished good-quality Virtual Boy homebrews: BLOX and BLOX 2, both by a guy named Christian Radke. I want Insect Combat to be the third. Time will tell whether that will be the case, though. Also, I don't know whether to put in a Tournament Mode in, which would pit you against all 8 fighters, one by one. Maybe then, I could put in an extra-tough ninth BOSS fighter, maybe like a cockroach or something. When I think "tough insect" that's what usually comes to mind, as they apparently have been around while dinosaurs have been roaming the earth. And whenever I think of cockroaches, I think of the tough ones from the movie "Joe's Apartment" where they actually succeeded in tying a guy up!
