Christmas lights 2011: Day 1

Well, I got started. Right now it's 37 degrees, so it was probably colder. I had some nails on the side of the fence to make lights spell out NOEL a few years ago. Had to pound another nail in the side of the fence again. I also put some around the bushes near the fence. By the time I had finished, my hands were really numb. I could have put on gloves, but I find it's much harder to work when your fingers are fatter. Interestingly, I can't feel anything in my feet very well, so I didn't care that I had on sandals with no socks while doing this. Also, I was wearing my Frosted Flakes pajama bottoms. I don't think anyone cared because there's hardly anyone out when it's this cold, although I did see a few different women walking (read: torturing) their dogs. And if they did care, they didn't stop me and ask why I had Frosted Flakes pajama bottoms and sandals with no socks on in such cold weather. I think I narrowly avoided getting frostbite on my hands and feet, which is weird because I was only out there for 30 minutes tops. So now I'm back in the condo, and we have to change the air filters in the furnace, which I have to figure out how to do. (I'm not exactly looking forward to it, either.)
