Wanted: '50s TV shows
...especially shows that aired on the ill-fated Du Mont network. I'm interested in this, which could be the only thing even remotely related to the Du Mont network: Some "Life Is Worth Living" DVD sets available from the Catholic Store. I'm not a religious person, but am just interested in trying to get programs aired on the Du Mont network! "Life Is Worth Living" aired on Du Mont from 1952-55. I wonder if these are actually episodes, or just parts of episodes intermixed with religious stuff.
This volume, narrated by Cameron Mitchel and Joe Campanella, includes three half-hour shows from Bishop Sheen's "Life is Worth Living" series. Each program is themed to correspond with a major holiday of the season and includes timely graphics and breathtaking scenery.
OK, what does this mean? Timely graphics? Breathtaking scenery? I want old black and white episodes of the show, dammit! Where's an episode guide when I need one?
I have two DVD sets of Du Mont shows: One of "Rocky King: Detective" and one of "Captain Video," which I bought from Alpha Video, which is all they have.
