My Pet Rock

Having a pet rock is very low maintenance. You don't need to pick up its poop, you don't need to feed it. In fact, i can forget about even having one for a few years until you realize as you go through your keychain collection that you have one. And there it was, still in its cage, not escaping or anything. I named mine Rocky. I googled "pet rock" and found a pet rock festival. I was amped until I realized that it was a pet festival with rock music. I think there should be a pet rock club and forum where pet rock owners could chat about their pet rocks, maybe hold annual actual pet rock festivals all about pet rocks. I let mine out of its cage once in a while, but am thinking about getting a terrarium for him to play in. Maybe could line it with barkdust or something, I don't know. See this is what happens when you're bored and have nothing to do. Your mind turns to mush and you start thinking crazy thoughts. But I know that rocks don't actually do anything or are even alive, so don't call me crazy. I do know one thing. I went to the new Petco in South Salem. I wanted a ferret. But then I got thinking what if the cat ate it? Real expensive cat food. I know one thing, my cat will not eat my pet rock. If it did, we'd have to get the cat to the animal hospital and try to get it out. I'm thinking for a terrarium like something like a lizard or snake set-up, only without the heat lamp. Well, I don't know, I'd have to see how cold Rocky gets. He can get pretty cold, you know. Right now, though, he's in his little box probably looking at what I'm typing. This is all in fun. It may be a weird type of fun, but it's fun for me. I remember there being a rock shop in Keizer when I was a kid. We drove past where it used to be (we don't go to Keizer very often), and I said "Is that where the rock shop used to be?" turns out Mom remembered more than I did and the name of the rock shop, which I had forgotten, was Roy's Rock Shop. And this gets me sad because it reminds me I have to go get a blood test after seeing my doctor, who is also named Roy. I doubt that it's the same Roy who had the rock shop, unless he spent his money frantically and needed a second income, but I don' t think that's the case. Well, anyway, rocks rock, and I would like to hear some more cool pet rock stories.
