Romscanner woes!

I just bought a romscanner and am having problems with it.

it is a marjec vga/10

as pictured here: http://www.steverd.com/what26/romscan.jpg

i hook my 2600's ac adapter to it and the red lights come on and when i chnage to different games the standby light comes on then goes off, however, the ready light never comes on. Also, the romscanner unit dosnt seem to power the 2600 when connected with the cord between the scanner and the 2600.i have tried 3 different 2600 units.

any idea what the problem is?

ok i bought another power supply and just used that and it works. it was the connecting cable after all. although a word on the scanners: thier connectors are quite sensetive to position. a slight out of place or sbit lopsided on one angle(foward to you or back) can cause graphical corruption or for it to simply not work. and only then 6 out of my 10 test games worked. maybe the cart slots/carts are dirty.

Actually it's called the Video Game Brain.

I found a small picture of it on the net:

The Game Brain is something else.

And here's the mother of all Game Brains, the Atari C-700:

Yeah, that pic is what I'm talking about. To my understanding, it does the same thing as the romscanner though.
