General Atarian
Make SURE you know who you are dealing with. My post on the 2600 forum... I recently did a trade with someone from Atariage. The person emailed me and we both agreed to ship at the same time, well as you would have it time went by and nothing. Finally I recieved my part of the trade in the mail. get this... The person used my envelope I sent them, with the same addresses cut off and reversed. It makes me think of, "I don't trust you, I will wait to get yours first, then I will only ship then" This person actually made out in the trade, I thought (after I agreed) That I was getting lowballed on the trade, but went with it anyway because I already agreed. Some people huh? I hate to say it but I am rethinking if I really want to trade online with anyone anymore. Without some kind of feedback rating online, there is just no way of knowing who you are trading with on Atariage, no way to track thier reliability. Just be careful. +-^CrossBow^-
you really should mention who it was...so they have the opportunity to respond to this. Whomever it was knows who they are...however, they are unlikely to say, do or change anything about the way they trade in the future if the other members aren't aware. In the case of the trade you and I did...you actually got the better end of the deal. But I had an extra of what you got and I wanted and needed what you were offering. In other words...you were quick to mention how good a trade you had with some people and you mentioned them by name. However, for other reasons you chose not to reveal whom the individual was this time. puzzled....
General Atarian
Sorry, My whole point was not to metion that he got the better end of the deal, far from it. I guess I was trying to make the point of people not sticking to the terms they agreed to when they agree on a trade, I guess it is a little annoying, when you agree to ship at the same time and one side ends up waiting weeks to get what was supposed to be shipped at the same time. As far as metioning the name, I have never left negative feedback before. I got the game as agreed to but wicked out of agreed time. Am I being childish about that point or should i just be glad I eventually got the game and move on?
General Atarian
The member was MattG/Snyper Sorry to mention this matt, but I reviewed the email you sent me and you wrote that we should ship the same time, And I did ship as agreed. In your package you didn't include a note about any problems or delays, I actually thought for awhile that the game was not coming. After waiting for 2 1/2 weeks, I thought it was a loss.
