just realised that you converted Wings of Death - 2nd level msx to small Atari!!! one of my real real all time faves from J. Hippel!

In fact the drums are almost standard ones but played twice in each VBL.

 

The thanks must go to Oedipus too because of converting this one to MIDI.

 

Simply the tune was too complex for me to rewite it just by ear.

Your approach with this tune is very good. But don't forget: It's running at 100hz.

 

Well, it's really honorably your tune, but I had to do some hardsynth demonstration with it.

It's with the limits of RMT, thus not perfect.

 

But please listen at the synth voice. The "clicking" sidenoise is turned into to some "enhancing" sound that even turns the "technic sounding filter" into some guitar like flanger.

Ok, this was really fast conversion, and the others mostly like it. So i leave it AS IS.

Well, the "Hardsynth" here refers to a timing set to the filter voices.

You hear the broken portamento, because RMT is not supporting it.

 

And, really. You don't hear the difference? Even the first filter part (before portameto) sounds "soft" and not like "fast capacitor switching" like is known by the pokey sound

 

Ok. I'll make some test .... have to make some soundfiles first ...

Your RMT isn't supporting filter correction. Thus it takes one or two VBI cycles until the sound can start. And that's the cause why the portamento sounds broken.

Wo bringt Diplomatie noch etwas, wenn man sagt "ich mag grün" und jemand kommt von der Seite, mit dem Kommentar "schau mal, der emkay mag kein grün".

Vor allem: Wo bringt Diplomatie noch etwas, wenn der Gesprächspartner Alzheimer hat und seine eigenen Worte vergisst.

 

Was du in meinen Texten liest ist keine Arroganz, sondern Resignation. Im Prinzip das Wissen, dass sich in mancher Hinsicht einfach nichts mehr tut.

Emkay, ich habe deine musikalischen Experimente mit denen anderer Forenteilnehmer verglichen und ich muss dir sagen, dass du dabei gar nicht gut abschneidest, was die Qualität angeht. Deine Stücke klingen so, als würde jemand singen, der gar nicht singen kann. Es kommt mir immer so vor, als ob dein Hörbereich etwas eingeschränkt wäre bzw. also ob du billige Boxen vom Computermonitor zum Hören benutzt.

 

Bleib' bei den Bildern (von denen mir einige z.B. Defender of the Crown recht gut gefallen haben). Das ist eher dein Terrain.

Dieser Eindruck entsteht sicher aufgrund deiner mangelnden Englischkenntnisse (das ist nicht böse gemeint!). Dein Englisch liest sich so, als ob du deutsche Sätze durch ein Übersetzungsprogramm jagst und danach noch einiges von Hand änderst. Viele englische Muttersprachler irritiert das. Zudem verstehst du auch ihre Antworten meist nur halbwegs. Kein Wunder, dass es da zu Mißverständnissen kommt.

Mich wundert's, dass Leute wie Raster nach deinen ständigen Nörgeleien überhaupt noch was tun. Vermutlich ignorieren sie dich einfach...

Über mangelnde Fachkompetenz reden wir hier gar nicht. Wenn man von irgendwas nur über zusammengegoogeltes Halbwissen verfügt, sollte man einfach mal die Klappe halten. Jemand, der Physik oder Elektrotechnik studiert hat, verfügt nun mal über bessere Kenntnisse auf technischem Gebieten als ein Installateur. Dafür wird dir aber kein Elektroingenieur ein Gespräch über die richtigen Rohrflansche aufdrängeln, denn dort ist der Installateur der Fachmann. Verstehst du, was ich sagen will?

Now, imagine (you can? ) , he was demonstrating his new symphony on a piano that sounds on C3 like a C4 and on A4 like A5 and every note between them is set wrong.

I guess, they would have killed him. Not that he was wrong. The builder of the piano tuned the piano wrong.

The G2F results were better than the RMT results, because very needed features are implemented by TEBE.

Raster would have done better, never to release RMT. The only usable features are the MOD import and that it runs on a Windows PC. Everything else is useless until the needed features like filter correction, free audctl usage, programmable note table and .... ofcourse... a full working emulation is done.

 

You don't see what's real. I spent "thousands" of hours to show, where the benefits are. And "clever" People like you only see the wrong notes. I explained it.... just people like you think once again ... aw... that emkay guy is really no musician...

I really don't know what's his problem. You can check back several years and you find replys with "sidekicks" of him referring to some of my posts.

I'm also not sure why someone is naming himself "Chrodegang"... perhaps he thinks he is some holy spirit or else.

a) good musicians are low on the A8 scene.

b) Real musicians don't use the A8.

Only a full POKEY supporting Tracker with features that makes it possible to create correct melodies by correct instruments, may be usefull for REAL musicians.

Well... just have a look at the SID-Station. Since it has a full for a musician known interface, you actually hear 2 "Top Hits" in the charts using SID sounds.
