7800 Boxes

I have seen 2 variations of the 7800 Box. One with big maroon letters that say 7800 at the top.

 

And one that says 7800 Prosystem in like a vertical line (i think, with blue letters).

 

Does anyone know where I can get the vertical line one? I have the other one.

You mean the early 7800 System boxes?

 

If so, those are a little harder to find, but they are out there. Ebay is a good place to start. Unfortunately, you are going to have to look through the 7800 auctions with a picture to find one. Most sellers don't make that distinction. They should; I think they would get more money for them.

 

Then again, most people don't look through 7800 auctions for those specific boxes and that means you have a better chance to get a good deal.

 

Also, with that style box there are two variations I have seen. On that has a sticker covering the blurb about the expansion features, and one without the sticker. Personally I prefer the one without the sticker; it's more interesting.

 

Then of course, there is the prototype box. I think Justin at atari7800.com has a good picture of that one.
