BydoEmpire
Picked up No More Heroes for $24 at GS today (along w/ a couple DS titles). I could have spent an awful lot of money there today, but I was good... Oh, I also got Defend Your Castle on WiiWare a couple weeks ago. RJ
I just got our Wii used from my bro's stepson (who's only had it since Xmas), we got it for almost next to nothing. He had some games I of course being 3x older, didnt care for, so Im getting rid of them & starting over: Endless Ocean (made by Arika who did PS2 EverBlue2, seems to be an expanded "sequel". If you're sick of military/FPS/Madden crap, give this a try. It's very unique & enjoyable.) Williams Pinball collection Wii Play (my wife loves it, finally she can play too!) Gamecube Rebel Strike (only for the 3(!!!) hidden SW arcade games) So far...prob. wont get too many more. Time to play is cut drastically w/ 2 month olds but now they'll have a newer system to play- not that I wont teach them the classics. +remowilliams
If a game is released for all three systems I almost always buy the Xbox 360 version. Same here. List hasn't changed all that much, runs even with about the PS3 for number of titles. Don't have any VC titles, I'll play them on the original hardware if I feel the need. Alone in the Dark (and calling this a game is sort of a crime in itself) Endless Ocean Game Party Link's Crossbow Training Madden '07 Medal of Honor Heroes 2 Mercury Meltdown Revolution Metal Slug Anthology Metroid Prime 3: Corruption No More Heroes Pinball Hall of Fame The Williams Collection Red Steel Resident Evil 4 Resident Evil the Umbrella Chronicles The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess Tiger Woods PGA Tour '07 Tiger Woods PGA Tour '09 Trauma Center Second Opinion Wii Fit Wii Play Wii Sports Even when the Wii version is better? BydoEmpire
Here, for a look into the real world, check these out in gamerankings for a start: Shaun White Snowboarding Crash Bandicoot: Mind Over Mutant Bully: Scholarship Edition Sonic Unleashed Just my 2c, but I liked Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on Wii a lot better than on 360. Granted, I'm comparing the retail Wii game to the 360 demo, but I thought the Wii version controlled much better. As for Wii games, I've recently picked up: Alien Crush Returns (WiiWare) - good Soul Calibur Legends ($17 at GS used) - really enjoyed it. I'm totally stuck on one of the last bosses, but up to this point it was worth the price. Not necessarily a $50 title, but it's a fun hack & slash. BydoEmpire
Oh, I forgot I also picked up BlastWorks: Build, Trade & Destroy a couple months ago for $20. Not worth it even at that price. You, too can play the most boring and ugly shooter ever, then make levels that are even worse, and trade them with your friends! The game is terrible, imho. It has nothing that makes shooters cool and fun. The level trading did work well, it was easy to download stuff. The problem is that the core game isn't fun and the level editor is pretty complicated, so it's hard for anyone to make anything worthwhile. davepesc
Barbie Island Princess Disney Princesses: Enchanted (something or other) Galaxy Wars House of the Dead 2 & 3 Mario Kart Wii Mario Party 8 Mercury Meltdown NHL 2K8 SSX Blur Super Mario Galaxy Super Parer Mario Super Smash Bros: Brawl The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Pirncess Wii Play Wii Sports Overall, I'm disappointed with the Wii. It's turned into the same story as the Cube. Sure, Galaxy is worth the price of admission by itself, but there's not much there. The kids enjoy it, though. jbanes
Overall, I'm disappointed with the Wii. It's turned into the same story as the Cube. Sure, Galaxy is worth the price of admission by itself, but there's not much there. The kids enjoy it, though. No offense, but Barbie Island Princess isn't exactly grade-A material to be judging a console by. In fact, the only good 3rd party titles I see in that list are Geometry Wars: Galaxies and Mercury Meltdown, the latter of which is a high-end budget title. You need to get some Pinball love, some Excite Truck excitement, some World of Goo gooeyness, some Mega Man 9 kickassery, some Zack and Wiki... monkey... bell thingy... Um. My point is that you need more good games! The first party titles you have are a good start, but there's a heck of a lot more REALLY GOOD stuff for the console. BTW, my list (may not be complete or in any particular order): Guitar Hero III Guitar Hero IV Blast Works Mario Galaxy Mario Strikers Excite Truck Red Steel Wii Play Rayman Raving Rabbids Geometry Wars: Galaxies Zelda: Twilight Princess SSBB Link's Crossbow Training Nights: Journey Into Dreams (not yet opened) Boom Blox Sonic and the Secret Rings (not yet opened) Dokapon Kingdom (it was a gift for the kids) Metal Slug Anthology Ghost Squad Super Paper Mario Mario Kart Wii Mercury Meltdown Revolution Zack and Wiki Pinball Hall of Fame: William's Collection WiiWare: World of Goo Mega Man 9 Orbient Defend Your Castle pOp LostWinds Internet Channel Alien Crush Returns Bomberman Blast Tetris Party Gyrostarr Space Invaders Get Even Star Soldier R Toki Tori Wild West Guns VC: Super Mario Bros. 2 Paper Mario Gate of Thunder Blazing Lasers Axelay Super Mario World SimCity MegaMan Donkey Kong Country 2 Bonk Super Mario Bros.: Lost Levels Legend of Zelda Zelda 64 Star Fox 64 Pokemon Puzzle Challenge (Oh shaddap! I needed my Tetris Attack fix. ) Yoshi's Challenge Street Fighter 2 Turbo Um... I probably forgot something. Probably. phaxda
How can you possibly have the time to play all those?! Here's how my typical Wii day goes: 1) Wake up, weigh in on Wii fit, do some yoga, go for a run (a real one, outside) 2) Take shower, wear towels to couch, and go to Animal Crossing to water my flowers and throw an axe in the well (is that biatch EVER going to give me a gold axe?) 3) Get dressed, then play the Tiger Woods daily tournament and whatever else is online (time permitting) 4) Have a few beers in the evening and race me some online Mario Kart (still can't seem to keep my VR over 8k. My playtimes are usually at least 3 hours a day. I get a lot of enjoyment out of my Wii, even though I play only these 4 games regularly. I also enjoy some Tetris Party, but TW has kinda edged that out.
