How is made a Lynx cartridge?

Recommended Posts

The Original Lynx Card design: the memory chip (as a "die") is mounted on a thin PWB. After bonding it is fixed with some kind of glue.

The PWB is mounted at the plastic part and 75% of the PWB is covered by the sticker.

Please see picture for details.

Very interesting. Never seen a Lynx cartridge from inside. Thanks!

Interesting.

It just remember me that the first time I tried my games on real Lynx (at the franch jaguar connexion in 2004), it was with a home-modified Lynx cartridge made by a friend :

In fact, this was pretty scary, but this was working :)

Of course, now, we have better tools, PCB and flashcard

If there is someone who can rebuild it, it will be great.
