SoundGammon Posted November 26, 2008 Share Posted November 26, 2008 About the fonts...I made my own custom version of the 5200 os, operating system, rom, that I put in my own font from a set from the old Compute magazine. I used a "computer" font that looked quite cool. Football was no longer ugly to look at. Graphic 0 text is fine when it is small but doesn't look good when it gets enlarged. Downside...a couple of Activision games use a "cheat" to make the scores look bigger than they actually are. The far right zero, 0, is just eye candy! The scores in both River Raid and Megamania looked good except for the zero on the right which is graphic 0 text. Galaxian and Beamrider look great along with Baseball. Guess I'll have to dig out my ol' 5200 and get ready for Tempest! One font I'd like to try to make would be the Star Raiders text. Check out the K and the R and the V in the panel part at the bottom of the screen. Love to play Star Raiders with the top text or font matching the bottom of the screen text!
