GrizzLee
Thanks for the enlightenment. You're certainly wiser than me. I still want to see this gopher gravy you spoke of. Thanks, -GrizzLee

high voltage
No mortgage No loans Pension Very Secure career Money to buy more games ....and you're just BRIMMING WITH MODESTY! Would it be too much to see bank statements and W-2s, while you're crowing? I want to be TRULY impressed. (edit: scan your last 1040 form if you don't have the W2 handy) Seem to have a struck a nerve here :-) Not sure what a W2 form does for you... I am proud of the fact that I have been working hard at my job for 22 years (very successfully), paid off my house, been married for 20 years have a very nice video game collection, have had some incredible life experienses with my son. Everyone should be so fortunate. I find no shame in that, nor will I ever. If you think I am rich... I wouldn't know what that is. I've never met anyone who seems to have enough... I put in 40+ hrs a week like most. If you can't handle that, then this will really piss you off... I'm looking to retire early and do other things. There is more too life than work, money, video games... You should read the material in the links I posted. It was meant to inspire folks to do something other than video games. Oh yes, here is my one of kind item in my game room. http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/104472-my-unique-game-room-item/page__p__1266163__hl__joe+decuir__fromsearch__1#entry1266163 I've even had the original "stella" at my house. http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/174682-video-game-documentary/page__p__2174142__hl__joe+decuir__fromsearch__1#entry2174142 If you (or anyone else for that matter) are in the Seattle area, drop me a line. Come over a for a beer, play some games... better yet, bring your outdoor gear and join us on a trek. Either way, we'll have fun. BTW: Just got back from campimg in the North Cascades mountains an hour ago :-) I'll quote an old Sean Kelly post here: "It sucks to be you." -GrizzLee But that's something I got: no mortgage (I'm renting) no loans (I earn too little to qualify, my bank just laughs at me if I ask for more money) Pension (well, in Germany you HAVE to pay into your pension fund by law) Very secure job (I'm employed by the town & council, that means I cannot be fired unless I do crime) money to buy more games (since I live alone, since I don't go out, don't have any friends, nor a life....I can spend all extra monies on games) So, you're not alone.... That's priceless. -GrizzLee Edited August 8, 2011 by GrizzLee

Also having the Nurburgring in your backyard helps.
Seob
No, best thing about germany is there is no general speed limit on a lot of highways. So when traffic isn't dens one could drive as fast as one would dare, unassured that is. I live near the german border so and the fastest i dared to drive was 195 km. Doesn't sound fast, but believe me with a normal small saloon car it is fast.

I've heard they make pretty good cars as well :-) -Grizz Edited August 9, 2011 by GrizzLee
DickNixonArisen
I don't drink, but I understand that there is a thing called "Bear" in Germany which is very popular. For me, though, I would enjoy the opportunity to learn german rapier in the fashion of Meyer and others in a more authentic context; maybe some museums or somethin'. DrLove0378
The most unusual item in my collection (that I can think of) is a Franklin Ace 2100 Apple IIe clone, with its original keyboard and monochrome monitor w/stand. No one I know has one (or even gives a crap about classic computing at all, for that matter.) I found it on the side of the road a few years back, along with a VTech Laser 128 Apple IIc clone.
