I've been a Jaguar owner since 2001, and in that time I've seen a lot of announcements, but very few have come to fruition. Realistic? My guess is you never coded the Jag and have not even the slightest clue as to why it is taking us so long? That sounds to be the more 'realistic' senario here. Like BattleSphere, our games will require a renderer far better than any that exsist right now. Until the advent of main code workaround and SMAC/SLN, we had no practical way to do this. To write one small subroutine in main code assembler, takes a lot of work due to the manual adjustments needed to make it run. I could have released all the games already with shitty frame rate and all but I refuse to do this. Most of the game code for most of our titles is done. Im waiting on Scott for that renderer. You can continue to be impatient, whinny and complaining about this but it's NOT going to make us release any game before it's time. Gorf took years and I think the result speaks for itself. You can be like the rest of the Jag whores who will spend there money on games like FROG FEAST just for the sake of having a game, or you could show a bit of maturity and wait for the good stuff coming. A ) How come we don't see you folks giving other developers who had done this well before us a bunch of shit? B ) Why does history escape your brain so quickly? Gorf was supposed to be produced forever. Midway prevented that from happening. You'd be still able to purchase Gorf today if I had things my way. C) We promise never to release a limited edition again. The whinny, jealous, envious behaviour of a few has ruined it for those who understand why we did it in the first place. God forbid someone else can't have what someone else does. Ever hear the commandment, "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's goods."...yes envy is sinful. It's getting more apparent why Obama got elected. We are turning into a nation of envious people. Class warfare....the root of all that is hateful. To be more accurate, it is a ForceDesign title...ie...this one is purely Terance's(The Graphics Man's) design with Scott Walters(JagMod) doing the tech coding. I only did some sound stuff in this one. The SkunkBoard is really helping Scott move along to make the last few tweaks. Either way! We are waiting to purchase our copies! All I wanted to know is if I needed to watch the thread and website close so I didn't miss out on the game as it looked cool. If you don't want my business just say so. You don't have to make me feel like crap first. Everything isn't a thinly veiled attempt to slight you or your apparent elitist group of programmers. I totally support the homebrewers. I'm not greedy, demanding, impatient, liberal, socialist, communist, baby killer, Obama voter, or anything else you want to pin on me. I blame MY generation (whichever letter designates that). I blame our parents, and my generation. Kids today (well, I'm 30... so people in my age group) are raised with a sense of entitlement. Everyone, regardless of their income, or the income in which they were raised in, feel that they are owed something. Everyone feels they are deserving of something that they haven't worked for. I want a Ferrari... does that mean it's unfair? Some people think so... EVERYONE feels that they are owed some sort of pittance because they are disenfranchised in some way or another. It really shocks me because I never really realized just how bad this country had gotten and just how demanding everyone has gotten. THere are so many examples that are right in our faces and people don't realize it. Even illegal immigration. These mexican immigrants cross the border, and while they may be coming here illegally, they have a very strong work ethic because they've CLEARLY learned from birth, the value of a dollar and what it means to earn a living. If all the illegal immigrants left this country, there would be no one to do the work because everyone feels they are too special or important (even if they are living on the street) to have to do "those" kinds of jobs... like packing meat or picking oranges. If you see some of the kids in the shopping malls. they are total spoiled brats. If I talked to my parents the way ANY ONE of those kids talk to theirs, I probably wouldn't be here right now. I remember ONE time when I was 13, I called my mom a "bitch", and I knew from that split second that I was in trouble... my dad literally kicked in my door!!! never saw him like that before... and I'll tell you what... I never did it again. My dad was born in Holland, so by virtue of his own culture, he's instilled the Dutch "business ethic" into me as well (something they themselves have also lost). It really kills me to see such a level of entitelment from people today... I think everyone needs a good dressing down so everyone recognizes their place. I understand the stipulation that prevents you from producing Gorf. But even still... if you simply just didn't WANT to make any more.. that's your damn God given right to do that. YOU were the one that put in the effort, YOU were the one that put in the work... and you can do whatever the hell you want with it. (do I get a free copy of Gorf for agreeing with you? hehehe). the.golden.ax Posted March 17, 2009 Share Posted March 17, 2009 I simply love shooters. The game looks great. I'm glad I started getting back into Jaguar, it seems like its just the right time too. Got my first JagCD in 12 years about 10 days ago, and so far a half dozen carts I've never had/played (around 20 I've had for years). Lots of quality games available. No homebrew stuff yet (I have lots for 2600/7800) but none for Jag so far. It really is a system that gets a bum rap. I use my 360 more for downloaded classic style games than modern store bought software. Mad bodies has that kind of look and feel from the videos. I'm stoked. Keep up the good work. You just might be an unfortunate victim of guilt by association(with others that have posted similar posts WITH the intent of being jerks about it), so my appologies. It's just that if you get enough people always giving you shit, you tend to start thinking most are doing just that even when they are'nt. Trust me, I had enough shit leveled at me that maye I'm a bit over-sensitive about it. I can't tell you how many people cried over Gorf Classic and that we 'dare' make a special version or we dare limit the copies. Again, my appologies.
