Elektro33
Just wondering, I have an insider deal from as friend, he says i can have it for $40.00, just wondering if thats worth it- and wondering the actual value you would say. Also it comes with several games- all boxed as well, although many seem very common, as if they came with the system- did the 2600 heavy sixer come with games right out of the box (besides combat)? I think it sounds great and I'll probably go for it. Its been in his attic for years and has never used it, I can't believe it!
Elektro33
also some tips about trying not to be so excited about it would be nice.... who would u approach a deal like this without the person going "u act like it may be worth more.... give me $70.00 for it "
KAZ
Well I've seen Atari 2600's on Ebay (heavy sixers or not) selling for $50 without boxes...and you say this is new in the box never used. That IS amazing. I'm sure I could see it fetching $100 on ebay pretty easily. Course, what would you do with a never used boxed Atari 2600? Leave it in the box unopened, or would you open it up? If you already have a playable 2600, perhaps you should keep it in its box.
Elektro33
thats what i plan to do. my four switch is fine, im gunna keep this one for um... whatever. some day i may sell it...or i may keep it forever as a tribute to classic gaming. CaliColts
Is there a serial # on the outside of the box?
Tizoc
I once saw a sealed 5200 go for around $400 on ebay. This was a long time ago though. I made an offer for a sealed 7800, $200, it had 4 games shrinkwrapped to the bottom. The guy laughed, and said he'd just keep it. My guess is that a new sealed heavy sixer would go for a lot on ebay. CaliColts
My point is about the serial # on the box is, I believe ALL Sunnyvale sixers had a label on the box with the serial # of the unit. My thinking is this is the only way to tell if it is a sealed Sunnyvale unit. If anyone knows different, I'd like to hear it.
Elektro33
i dont have the unit yet, but I'll eventually persuade this non-atarian into giving it up, i have five PSX games and 6 Demos, along with $15 Bucks with his name on it (and he seemed happy about it! and so did i!!!) Gahh
ATARIPITBULL
I payed $115 about two 1/2 years ago for my never played mint in the box 2600, and I have seen sealed boxed 2600jr systems going for as high as $200 on ebay this year alone.
