Which device do you use most?

Hi!

 

Please let me know which version of interface you use the most. In case of Sio2IDE you can provide version info (I use 3.3a); and so you can with other interfaces.

 

Why do I want to know this...

 

To know if it is interesting to release and/or write tools for certain devices. I'm working on a Sio2IDE tool, and I have written MyIDE tools in the past.

 

I would like to see which devices people use the most, to get an idea which interfaces are most popular.

 

Please chose the interface/device you use most of the time.

Atarimax SIO to USB device (Ape software) used most

 

MIO to real HD also used most.

 

I have MyIDE cart, myIDE internal, and SIO2SD which I never use.

I have several from the list but I end up using the SIO2SD the most.... it's just so easy to drop an atr on it and use the buttons on the device to run it....

I have an AtariMax SIO2PC and registered Ape which I use a fair bit, but my SIO2USB gets the most use. It's just so easy to drop images on the USB stick and plug them in.

I'd used to say, that I use the 1050 the most ... but since I have that SIO2SD built in into my Atari 800XL (NO RD!!), I am so satisfied, that I only can say "how could I ever live with out her ... uhm "it" " ... in that case ...

 

the SIO2SD even replaces my SIO2PC interface ... cuz my new PC has no serial port anymore ... and my MacBook doesn't have one as well ... so the SIO2SD is the first device ever (of all the equipments I ever had) thats working on a PC and the A8 aswell without any other technical hardware like the SIO2PC, which needed a running A8 and PC at once ...

Use my USB version of Steve Tucker's SIO2PC interface with APE on a Windows box. I telnet BBS several nights a week. I also use MyIDE and 1MB and 8MB flashcarts. I will occasionally fire up my 1050s just to keep the belts from drying up.
