tjlazer
Nice, thanks for taking the time to do this. Question. Did the manual come apart easily to be able to scan? I am wondering how to scan manuals that do not come apart and are like a book.
+Guitarman
This one was wire bound, like the Compute! 1st (2nd, 3rd) Book Of Atari is. I just snipped the wire binding off. Once it was scanned, I repunched the pages for a plastic comb binding. The 3.0 manual was standard book/magazine binding with 2 staples. The manual was 5.5x8.5 closed. I removed the staples, opened the manual to the middle, making it 8.5x11 and cut the manual down the middle. I was then able to duplex scan the manual after that. I then punched and rebound the manual with the plastic comb binding. A book bound manual, you would have to cut the glue binding off and find a good way to rebind it after scanning. If there is enough space between the edge of the page and the text, you could punch and comb bind it. Nice, thanks for taking the time to do this. Question. Did the manual come apart easily to be able to scan? I am wondering how to scan manuals that do not come apart and are like a book.
