What do you think is the better brick busting game? For me, Thunder & Lightning all the way, better power-ups, you have the speed button to make your paddle move quicker, better sound effects, better level designs, better paddle control, none of those annoying flying things that get in the way of your ball. So far the only thing I hate in thunder and lightning is the octopus in level 2. The one thing arkanoid has is the level warp powerup. The paddle in arkanoid is slow as fuck, and there's no speed option, there's way to many unbreakable bricks, and let's face it, it's impossible to beat that game with 2 lives. Now I'll give arkanoid the benefit of the doubt that the gameplay and game control is better with the arkanoid Vaus controller, but until I get one, arkanoid is unenjoyable after the first few levels. Thunder and lightning on the other hand is fun as hell and I could see myself completeing it with enough patience, but don't get me wrong, it's not a cake walk either. That being said, let the vote begin.

Coin-op Arkanoid is a great game because it has a paddle controller. I never did understand the attraction of a paddle game that uses a four-position digital joystick anyway, such as the NES conversion. Pong for the Playstation, for example, suffers the same fate. Might as well just go back and play super breakout on the 2600 (or the 5200, if you can "handle" the controller). The controller is EVERYTHING, on those types of games.
