Bunsen
124250 http://skriegel.de/atari/bj1.JPG Excellent! which level did they make it to? Take a look at our Highscore-Thread: http://www.abbuc.de/modules.php?name=Forum...opic&t=4011
+skr
and did anyone manage to achieve the bonus screen by collecting all the blinking bombs in sequence? Yes of course. Dietrich thinks the easiest level to do that is level 1. I personally find level 4 more easy. But there are some more levels where you can easily collect all the blinking bombs in sequence. The problem is, that there is no "safe" way to do that.
VectorGamer
I'm not into the vintage computer scene but nevertheless I enjoy seeing pix of the parties and setups as I throw classic gaming parties. Wow - this was a three day extravaganza? I have problems holding people's interest for four hours (of course they are not die hard classic games but play for the nostalgic purposes - after all, classic gamers are hard to come by in my area). Did you guys have any Warsteiner or Paulaner? Do they still make Darmstadter?

Rybags
So, were there any new game, demo, app releases? Or did everyone just sit around playing Spelunker and emptying kegs?
Thorsten Günther
Some significant soldering and programming work was indeed done on the Fujiama, and still no steins and only one keg, bottles mostly were emptied (Radeberger and some local brands - one from Czechia, two or three others from Saxony - which I fail to remember, were available) . Pluds they had something called "Vita Cola". I didn't see anyone else beside me play Spelunker, but they were all into Monex and Bomb Jack - plus some other games like Tempest Xtreem, Animal Party and Pole Position (USB wheel patched). I also often heard someone play Tempest 2000 on the Jaguar, and I played Iron Soldier from start to end (in "easy" level admittedly, but even in that level it took me several tries and more than 30 minutes in the last try to finish the final scenario). +skr
So, were there any new game, demo, app releases? No releases at the party, but some development was done there and there will be releases later. I was busy soldering my sdrive and learning how to use MAC65 and SpartaDos to learn Assembler. Perhaps I can do something next year... (Radeberger and some local brands - one from Czechia, two or three others from Saxony - which I fail to remember, were available) . You forgot the "Kölsch" which Slee∏ brought from Cologne. yum yum

Bunsen
So, were there any new game, demo, app releases? No games, some guys coded some serious stuff - cas coded a driver for a driving wheel for using the usb cartridge http://atariwiki.strotmann.de/xwiki/bin/vi...ire+USB+Adapter - raf (Thomas Grasel and Harry Reminder) bugfixed the sio2usb firmware. There were problems to use this device with Sparta DOS X 4.42. - Stefan Dorndorf worked on YASH (Shell for sio2usb) for the SDrive. - Floppydoc (Erhard Pütz) coded some stuff altime long. But I don't know what. Two more famous coders joined the party, but I haven't seen them coding. All the others: no coders, just hardware guys and gamers. Mathy
Hello guys Here's the steering wheel in action. I hope this picture (which I found on krupkaj's page, like the previous one) was taken before the previous picture. greetings Mathy PS do the footpedals work? cas
PS do the footpedals work? Sure they work, both! Also the switches on the wheel to shift the gear low-high Carsten
Bunsen
Or did everyone just sit around playing Spelunker and emptying kegs? Such a party is a great chance to play all the funny multiplayer games. We played - cervi (multijoy classic) - space arena (4 players paddles) - atari tennis (4 players patched for multijoy) - castles crisis (4 players paddles) ... Spelunker is also a great game, but IMHO you can play it for yourself at home. No need to drive 1000 km to play it at another place. Thanks Fandal, Raster, Bryan, Schmutzpuppe and Jiri Bernasek for supporting multiplayer games! Great fun for parties! p.s. Only one keg was drunken by 40+ people and only a few bottles of beer. Mathy
Hello guys If I gave the impression that people drink a lot, sorry. I've been to both Fritztown meetings, the last Unconventional (2005) and every Fujiama, except this year, since 2006. We've only had a problem with people drinking too much once. These people will not visite one of these meetings again. The strongest stuff people drink is beer. And people drink it in moderation. These meetings are not about drinking, they are about gaming, programming, soldering, designing, debugging, ..., and about meeting like minded people. As you can see on the photo's, we usually have a lot of fun. BTW my Atari meetings page is still under construction. I plan to put enough pictures up, so that you can get an impression of these meetings. Links to galleries will be added. greetings Mathy (who likes to meet you all at the next meetings)
cas
Hmm, that's very cool. Makes me think about picking up a USB cart. I will offer ready-to-run packs with USB Wheel, USB Cart, Disk and a short tutorial starting in September in Europe. Generally you can find one of the supported USB Wheels on eBay for under 5 Euro/US$. The best supported Wheels today are Logitech Formula Vibration Feedback Wheel USB Logitech Formula GP USB Logitech Formula GP analog GamePort + RockFire USB Nest Adapter I'm planning to patch some space games in September (like StarRaiders and/or Rescue on Fraclatus) to be used with a Flight Controller like this one: In the US, the best source for the USB Cart is AtariMax (Steve Tucker). spookt
Oh excellent. Star Raiders with a flight stick would make it a required purchase for me I'll probably wait until your packs are ready then pick up a flight controller to go with it. Great stuff ! BigBen
I just noticed in pictures 43 and 44 from Saturday a couple of interesting carts. One looks like an EPROM burner. Any details on those ? The pictures show the cartridge prototypes of the developer and it´s not an Eprom burner. It´s a utility cart with over 190 programs! spookt
190 utilities? Excellent! I love projects like that. It's amazing to think that 25 years on folks still dream up new things to do with the humble A8.
Thorsten Günther
Hi,know the webside is complete with the Fujiama Party Photos and Movies Bernd can you add comments to the photos so we can see who is who at the party?
