OldSchoolRetroGamer
Hi there! It is a sad day today, look for yourself: http://gog.com/ Greetings, Manuel Well first thing, this has already been covered: GOG.com closed down... !? What ??? Second, it is likely a bad PR stunt. Read between the lines even in the link you posted. Edited September 20, 2010 by OldSchoolRetroGamer
Cybergoth
Weird. I actually did search for "gog" before posting here and the newest post it found was from august. Now the other one shows up in the search as well as mine. Anyway, thanks for the heads up
Tempest
God is dead??? God is dead!!! Oh wait, you said GoG? Oh GoG is dead. Nevermind. Tempest
Albert
I've heard that this is some sort of "publicity stunt" (which appears to be working) and it'll be back in a few days. ..Al
Pyromaniac605
I sure hope its a publicity stunt, GoG was great. Anyone here miss me? I see somethings have changed since I was here last. Darren

Jimmer
I love GOG and have purchased 100+ games through them over the past 2 years. I'm relieved that they're going to remain DRM and download client-free. But... I keep thinking about "New Coke" and I'm not sure why... Pyromaniac605
Im going to leave GoG up until that countdown finishes. Good to see that its coming back up. Darren
Austin
Ahahaha.. It looks like they're finally coming out of "beta", which is the reasoning for this (I was speculating this was the reason just prior to visiting the site a moment ago). Man, I've been on there for so long that I forgot it was even still in beta.. Anyways, it will be back up with a redesign and more releases in a few days. **edit: It's not a couple of days that they will be back.. it's only a couple of hours! Keep an eye out.. desiv
I keep thinking about "New Coke" and I'm not sure why... Hey, I liked New Coke!!! And it's not just because they had Max Headroom doing the commercials... It was.. um.. er.. Yeah, it was just because they had Max Headroom doing the commercials... I love Max Headroom!! Hoping for good news on GOG, but I hate publicity stunts like this.. desiv
Herbarius
Oh, Max Headroom is a real person? I knew the name from somewhere (though I don't know from where exactly), but I thought it's a fictional character... EDIT: Damn it, it IS a fictional character. How can you do this to me... desiv
Fictional?? Oh... Yeah.. That can be confusing.. You see, Edison Carter was a reporter who works for Network 23. And Max Headroom is the virtual persona based on an almost complete brainscan/dump from Edison Carter after the accident... But Max is his own persona; unique from Edison Carter... desiv
JamesD
Yawn... GoG is dead... no... GoG is alive... no... who cares?
Cybergoth
Pretty cool, to apologize for the publicity stunt they just gave away "Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games" for free. Joining them two years ago already was a pretty good deal, from the 7 gog games I have, I only paid for
