Cliff Friedel
Hey all. Installed a bunch of lynx roms on my dingoo and it has got me reinterested in the lynx and its games. With that in mind, I am thinking of buying one now to add to the collection. If I bought a lynx, what games would you suggest I buy? I have really liked playing the lynx casino and S.T.U.N. runner, but I know there are probably a lot more. So, what's your favorite?

Sukie
at the moment i cant get enough of Robotron its not the most complicated game and your character is only about 4 pixels high , but it is bloody good nonetheless
The_Laird
Robotron 2084 is my favourite but there are so many good Lynx games. Shanghai, Super Asteroids/Missile Command, A.P.B, XYBots, Loopz, Pokermania, Rampart, Ninja Gaiden, Zarlor Mercenary and Xenophobe are all excellent games that spring to mind. EricDeLee
I like Eye of the Beholder. Rampage USED to be one of my favorites until a High Score contest ruined it for me. There are a ton of great games though!!
Atari_afternoon
I have recently posted here http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/169270-lynx-newbie-here/ about my first experiences with the Lynx (all beyond expectations!). What was my wishlist then has, in all but two cases, become reality now ( 2 games still in the mail), will then be twenty-one in toto. My absolute favourites are Steel Talons, Rampart, Battlewheels, Warbirds, Paperboy, Blue Lightning, Xybots and Checkered Flag. Klax also plays great. Longest time I might have spent with Steel Talons and Paperboy...but I´m only in my 4th Lynx week yet. Get a real one! It´s really worth the wait. It has a great handheld feeling, and with NiMH rechargeables you get a decent 4 hour + running time.
Willard
i've been playing paperboy, shadow of the beast and battlewheels the most lately. There are still many that I'd like to pick up though
DeathAdderSF
Toki is one of my favorite Lynx games. It's a very impressive adaptation of the arcade original, complete with nifty sounding music (which in my opinion was handled better on the Lynx than it was on the Genesis). Qix is simple yet very fun, and a great time killer. Oh -- and I've heard Zaku is worth a go, too. 108 Stars
throw all Lynx games in a big pile and randomly pick one. there's your best game. Yeah, and God´s sense of humor will most likely have you pick Dirty Larry or Kung Food if you dare to test your luck with that method.^^
+Sauron
Lemmings has ended up becoming my favorite Lynx game, as the Lynx version is fantastic. Very polished, and with the levels appropriately cut down to better accommodate the portable nature of the device. There's tons of other good games, too, and unlike Lemmings, many of them can be had for cheap. I think most everyone else has hit on them above. Tweety
Most played Lynx games for me are: Xenophobe, Crystal Mines II and Rygar. I just bought myself: Alpine Games, Lynxopoly and Championship Rally. Haven't played them yet, but I heard that Alpine Games is very very good.... Rex Dart
Gauntlet has a good combo of gameplay & laffs
Gregory DG
According to my scientific rankings based on visitors scores, Lemmings is the #1 game of all time. Personally, I prefer KLAX which came in at #3. http://www.ataritimes.com/rankings.php?System=Lynx
Inky
When I had a lynx, I rarely removed Rampart from the machine.
Lynxman
Crystal Mines II Buried Treasure I love it! I would pay for Crystal Mines III
108 Stars
I would pay for Crystal Mines III Eventhough CM III is unlikely to ever be made, you could buy an old NES and play .
Atari_afternoon
I will receive Lemmings this week then I will test "science" in a self-test! Right now, Battlezone 2000 ... both the game and the Easter Egg! Whoaaa Number two is Rampart. Heck, I even found out there was a GBC game, ordered it cause the 26 seconds of wall buillding are so damn fast....
108 Stars
Rampart is available on a lot of systems... besides Lynx and GBC you can get it for Mega Drive, Master System, NES, SNES, C64, Amiga and even PlayStation Network. That´s why I´m not terribly interested in the Lynx-version myself... same as with Lemmings, there are really a lot of other ports out there. But Battlezone.... Atari_afternoon
That´s why I gave Battlezone 200 a "test run" by getting the equally rare but very cheap GBA "Atari Anniversiary". Plays fine there (tho there is nothing to pick up, no missions, no custom built tanks, let alone anything so sophisticated easter egg). I´ve been looking for BZ 200 for some weeks now, offers tended to be at the other side of the world and usually, new and boxed. One night I found an unboxed UK one
