+Stephen
This seems to be very well constructed - proper clicky keyboard and all. I wonder if Curt would be interested in doing something like this with a 1200XL case (new ones so the old machines are not destroyed)? Rybags
If it was to happen, 600XL would be the way to go. Or actually, 600XL, then do the F-Keys in the strip fashion of the 1200XL. But, it'd be a pretty big investment. Plus there seems to be no num-pad. Some people don't care, but for me it'd be a deal-breaker.

Not an actual product.
+Larry
Very impressive if it materializes. +Philsan
I would definitely buy a similar 600/800XL.
svenski
Certainly looks impressive but I can't see where the 5.25 floppy drive is going to go I think Atari Interactive would probably want so much cash in licensing that a similar XL style product would never get off of the ground. Looks cool though.
Mclaneinc
I like that, if the real item can match the renders then that would make a nice 'toy', and of course a redone Atari would be nice. As for the 5.25 drive, shudder, in the bin where it belonged
candle
if seems to be much toller than original commodore, and if so, then ergonomy sucks
flashjazzcat
Must be in order to get the keyboard to clear those passive heatsinks.
candle
passive heatsinks my ass, why use passive heatsinks if there is fan on the back? probably just a stock mini ixi board with atom on it put without any modification into custom case they could do better than this

Still, doesn't look like a bad setup. The keyboard is better than 99% of the rubber-dome shit out there - that alone was a nice touch. sloopy
if you read msg boards in the C= universe, you would be placing bets on how much fail is in that company... sloopy.

mimo
looks great in the flesh, and works well too (saw it at a retro computer meeting in November) FYI Kurt has already asked the question http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/168509-new-atari-pc-computer/page__p__2083777__fromsearch__1#entry2083777
Mirage
The ONLY reason I want to use an unergonomic '80s style keyboard, whether it be C= or Atari, is if I'm using the actual old computer. I'm referring to the C= breadbin design. I hated typing on it in the '80s and I hate typing on it today. A 1200XL design still wouldn't be modern, but would be better. There is no way I would want to use this with a modern computer in it. What I wish someone would do is make brand new C64 and Atari A8 circuit boards, complete. Full size, not like the joystick-size C64. The real things are getting more and more unreliable every year, and it would be nice to put brand new, 100% fully-compatible boards into our original cases. I know, I'm dreaming.
