the.golden.ax
Often times the doom titles are bootlegs, look for the M rating and the bootup not to contain hacker bragging. I've picked up a few over the years and they always seem to be fakes. I'd love to have them in the box, but it's not high on my want list. +wood_jl
Agreed, with Ax. I have *NEVER* seen a real DOOM, esp DOOM 2. Invariably, almost ANY DOOM2 you see for sale will be a fake. Count on it.
skaredmask
Cool thanks for the heads up. I also noticed on couple of boot leg games that above the pins of the cart it will not say nintendo on the PCB or have the pressure markings on it on the game label like in this picture. skaredmask
About $35.00 for doom and $45.00 for Doom 2 minus shipping of about $3.00 each.I know it was high but like I said there offical copys. I know I was lucky on this one ROFlMAO : ) and I love Doom and whats better than Doom 1&2 for you pocket? I made this choice after looking at Doom for dos 3.5 inch floppy and it gose for about $50 now in box. Intresting too is that Doom 1 for GBA actraul use's the Atari Jaguar code That John Cammerick made for the game. So it's like what would happend if the Jaguar could play the music (minus the bodys don't stay on screen but oh well). greencoman
Whoa did not know these were going for this price thats almost what they were selling for when I bought them. Real big doom fan so I got both I remember doom 2 was harder to find gamestop did not have it but eb games did. Also bootlegs what gives are they really in that short of supply? Seems the gba will be something for the game collector in the coming years.

And doom 2 was "T teen" I've always thought the "M" rating was harsh... the bootlegs are often "K-A" that is just AX
HatefulGravey
I kick myself all the time for not picking these up when I saw them new. I found them in a local game store that was closing for $10 each and passed them up. Money was tight at the time and I thought that games this popular would be more common. You live and you learn it would seem.
greencoman
No big deal we all do that, you can not possibly predict this kind of thing it just makes collecting even more fun.
