VectorGamer
super speed racer: I don't see any score! I'm I missing something? Sweet - another one of these. I'm guilty of this myself (Jurassic Park), but (for the record) we all need to test these games out before submitting them as game requests or as tournament nominations. Given the breadth of the arcade universe, it is not feasible for me to test every game that is requested. I'll add this to the DNP list and go through the queue for a replacement Monday morning. Lauren Tyler
Just an FYI regarding Super Speed Race: The score doesn't display properly on some versions of MAME. WolfMAME .106 won't work, but MAME .141 does. I have no clue why, but good choice with the replacement. At any rate: Championship Sprint: 6,920 Pole Position: 19,180 (Are you sure I didn't request this one? I could've sworn I requested this one, not Super Speed Race.) VectorGamer
(Are you sure I didn't request this one? I could've sworn I requested this one, not Super Speed Race.) http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/167179-arcademame-hsc-game-requests/ There were 3 players that requested Pole Position so I just went with Mister VCS. Super Speed Race may have been one of your tournament nominations that was rolled over to the request queue if it did not get played.
Lauren Tyler
Well, that works. I'm not complaining, I was just wondering.

keilbaca
M.A.M.E. Offender: Do you have a racing wheel or something? I can't control the car in pole position correctly for the life of me, and I can't get the analog to work right with my xbox 360 controller. M.A.M.E Offender
I just use my trackball on my X-Arcade. The PSP is really tough to use for a game like Pole Position. I wouldn't have a prayer on that thing. If you want to dodge the expense of a steering wheel, go tracking. You won't believe how accurate you can be driving this way. It is also very easy to tweak to your liking by finding a happy medium on the sensitivity of the steering. I like to have it set so that if you happen to jerk the trackball a little bit, you don't go flying off the road. You can adjust it through your computer or through MAME. So, you've got accuracy, and sensitivity control. All in the roll of a trackball. Your scores will start soaring. Guaranteed. Speaking of soaring scores: Pole Position - 62,630 Zero crashes Done in 234"
Cynicaster
I'll second the use of the trackball for Pole Position, but I find Championship Sprint pretty much impossible using this approach. It's too hard to straighten out after taking a turn, so you end up ping-ponging off the walls. Very frustrating.
mr. toast
I'll second the use of the trackball for Pole Position, but I find Championship Sprint pretty much impossible using this approach. It's too hard to straighten out after taking a turn, so you end up ping-ponging off the walls. Very frustrating. Trackball or regular computer mouse works for me in PP. Championship Sprint is just one of those games where a steering wheel is pretty much required.

Cynicaster
Pole Position - 56,020 Sprint - 9,670 I might have spoken too soon about the trackball being useless for Sprint. It's actually kind of fun once you get the hang of it.
