Rockin' Kat
I havn't really posted any of my finds here lately, but I had a rather unusually located one recently. Right where I work. A while ago the vendor that supplied movies, music, and video games to the retail chain I work for, Rite Aid, went bankrupt. When we got a new vendor the stuff left over from the previous one was put on clearance. Well, eventually a recall was done on what was left and it was sent to our DC's. Recently they sent it back to some stores(including the one I work in) all retaged with new barcode and price stickers. There were a bunch of playstation games in this stuff and I found some that I didn't have which looked interesting, so I bought a few for myself. $1.49 each for old-stock playstation games can't be too bad. I also found a few CH products Mach(and CH Mach-like) joysticks for IBM-compatbiles recently while out thrifting. I love these little analog joysticks on my Apple II and I'm very happy to have finally found some for IBM compatible. Finally a good joystick to use with my WYSE 286. CGQuarterly
I don't normally post in this thread, but yesterday I found an A/V modded 4-switch Atari 2600 in a thrift store. I've certainly never found one of those in the wild before. Cost be the princely sum of $2.80. No hookups, but that's OK. I already A/V modded my VCS, so I don't know what I am going to do with this one, but for that price I sure as heck wasn't going to just leave it behind. I am going to crack it open to see how this one was done, just out of curiosity. I assume it was modded back in the day, since I can't see someone modding one now and then turning around and donating it to a thrift store.
