Asaki
I found this super cool CD yesterday and grabbed it: They also had an Activision TV Games plug-n-play, and I thought about coming back for it later, but after reading the reviews, I think I'll pass. ...but I might have to go back to get this, if it's still there:
orangest
I found this super cool CD yesterday and grabbed it: Nice. One of my favorite bands. Saw this today at Goodwill...$49.99 for the empty cabinet.
SRGilbert
Bought a used 3DS from a guy I work with. Someone who owed him money gave it to him, he sold it to me for $45. Nice shape, no games though or a charger, but I have one already that works.
Chuck D. Head
...but I might have to go back to get this, if it's still there: That is a good one. The joystick also twists as the control for Pole Position.
Asaki
Yeah, I think I'll stop by tomorrow and hope they still have it, the reviews sound pretty decent. Though it's NoaC, isn't it? I couldn't find a review that specifically stated, just some that said that the earlier plug'n'plays were NoaCs. I know I played an older one with Pac-Man, Dig Dug, and Bosconian, and it wasn't very arcade faithful =) Nice. One of my favorite bands. I was thinking about coming back for it later, since I'm the only one who ever buys CDs from that place...but I figured I didn't want to take the chance. It doesn't make very appropriate driving music, though...it makes me feel like I'm playing Road Rash B) Edited September 6, 2013 by Asaki
Manoau2002
Game finds are very limited where I live. (At least games I'm interested in) But here are a few things I have gotten at thrift stores , book sales, and pawn shops over the last week. CGQuarterly
"What's Goin' On?" is a freaking great album. I was lucky enough to find a 180gm re-release at a record shop for only $10 a couple of years ago... That Pole Position cab might make a fun project. $50 is a pretty good deal considering that you don't have to deal with shipping.
madmax2069
Picked up Yoshi's island (SNES) Mario 64 $20 total.
The Caffeine Kid
My best recent find was getting Breath of Fire IV for PSX from a charity shop in my village for £1.
Hyperboy
Licensed N64 cart holder for .25 Golden Tee Golf Plug n Play NIB $5 Sealed EC Lock n Chase INTV $1 Complete in boxes C64 system, Disk Drive and Printer $5 (I hit up multiple thrift stores several times a week but they aren't always as fruitful as this)
Fushek
Complete in boxes C64 system, Disk Drive and Printer $5 That's a sweet deal on the C64! Great system to pull out and play occasionally and reminisce about simpler days. You remember, when we could pull an all-nighter slaughtering monsters in an RPG or try to beat the darn computer at poker so you could get a "better view" of the dealer. Or maybe that was just me . Hyperboy
That was me too! I would wake up early before school to load up Forbidden Forest or Raid on Bungling Bay on cassette and then go back to bed so it would be ready to play after breakfast. I remember having Stroker 64 and having my girlfriend play it and taking it to school on my SX-64 portable and you would have thought I had porn streaming on that little 5" monitor. Good Memories!! Asaki
Nothin'. The plug'n'play was gone, oh well. Strangely, they were very not busy at all for a Friday.
+FujiSkunk
Nice little haul today. First, at the thrift store I volunteer at, I found this: I opened it up and... no SF2. Instead, this was inside: Since I already own an SF2 cartridge, but not G3, I was willing to accept the difference. This also came in, and I'm going to put it up for grabs in the thrift store sale thread. Finally, my little suburb threw its first annual "This Is Kingwood Festival," where residents were encouraged to set up booths and offer up some arts and crafts and other wares. One guy had a booth dedicated to toy collections. I had read about these before but hadn't really thought about pursuing them. When I saw them right in front of me though, I had to have them. I'm weak that way.

Asaki
SNES Zombies ate my neightbor cart We used to have that game...I was so upset when it went missing (I suspect someone stole it). Even more upset when I tried to replace it, only to find that the game is pretty expensive these days =|
orangest
Goodwill finds-Diddy Kong racing and Phantasy Star Online Ver. 2 were $5.99, Grandia II was $6.99. $1 at a random thrift. I actually found an opened one for double the price a few months ago, and as someone who is entertained by things that are absurdly wrong, this is a big-time winner.

Fixitguy74
Jupiter Strike for PS1 in long box. Tag says $2, which I thought was good enough, but apparently today was 30% of video games day at a random thrift. So $1.48 after tax. And with some gentle scraping/ peeling with a finger nail the price tag came off pretty cleanly. Asaki
Goodwill had a long box PSX game for a long time, I think it was Wipeout? But the disc was super scratched up so I left it there (and not a huge fan of racing games anyway).
orangest
Finds from Savers-Street Fighter III New Generation soundtrack was $1.99, Black Dahlia was $2.99. Very tragically, it's the case only. Still got the blood pumping at first glance. From Salvation Army.
AtariLeaf
So a few weeks ago I'm talking to a carpet installer at work and we're chatting about games on phones and I mention how I like the older stuff and still play Atari so he says he has an Atari system and computer and he's looking to get rid of it so I of course told him that I'd be interested. Finally today I was able to go to his house and he brings me to the basement. He had everything here plus an Atari 800XL which he seemed to value the most with 3 disk drives and a case of floppy disks which were some originals but mostly copies so I haggled to get everything in these pics for $100 and left the 800XL (aside from 3 games you'll see in one pic) so hopefully I did well, which it looks like I did. The first pic is just boxes for some reason, oh well, the boxed Atari has matching serial numbers which is nice
boxpressed
Mr.Do's Castle worth a ton. Nice job! Update: Just checked. Last one on eBay sold on Ebay in April for over $500. Came with manual but no box.
