can you take a closer shot of the pictures of the actual game?  Im

interested in what excactly it looks like... what a bizzare concept a

board game version of pac man!!  now I have seen everything!

Here's one better, the game board fully set up. Turns out this is marginally fun - the Pac Men munch up the marbles and you also move the ghosts to intercept the other players

Village Discount Outlet, Austintown, Ohio

DMG-01, $3.50... works, but the LCD is showing some wear.

There are THREE complete Genesis 2 systems there, for $8 each. Go ahead and grab them, they're in the basement area. I didn't need an $8 Genesis when the one I already have isn't showing any signs of failure.

Well, I was out thrifting yesterday and I got a SNES with all hookups and 30 games along with 11 gameboy games and a super gameboy adapter for $40. Then I got 2 Colecovision systems with 4 games, a NES system with all hookups and 31 games, 3 Atari 2600 games, and about 22 Intellivision games all for $100. Not the triftiest of deals :ponder: but it was a lot of stuff. :)

Pfft, the only games in western PA and eastern OH are Intellivision carts. I've still never seen an actual INTV, for sale or not. You're more than welcome to them, they're all at the area Goodwill stores.

You know what's funny? I used to have the same problem around here -- I would stop by the local goodwill and look around for some Atari stuff and EVERY time there would be nothing but a bunch of boxed Intellivision games. A year or two later when I finally get an intellivision, they NEVER have them. If I would have picked them up when I saw them, I probably would have had a pretty large Intellivision collection with the boxes and overlays! *backhands self to teach self a lesson*

Hmm...

Goodwill, Andover, Ohio

Genesis 2 system, 3 button controller, no power or RF: $3

Qix (5200): $1

Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n Wrestling: The Four Legged Pickpocket: $2

SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS: $2

WOO.

They also had Joust, Centipede, Pac Man, Berzerk, Pole Position, Jungle King, and Space Invaders for 5200 there, all a buck each... I was on a limited budget. I had to leave behind a VCR, a set of WW2 books published in the sixties, and a Darkwing Duck tape. ;_;[/b]

mostly , a couple of dolls from manhattan toys called 'groovy girls' which might prove collectible someday ...

one i think is the tooth fairy. she'll probably rip off a dragon's wings later and have them surgically grafted while the dragon will just whine about it.

the other i guess is wearing a bathrobe.

the thing they're on is a trailer from a grocery store named 'publix'... one of my favorite places to stop when i go to florida. it's truly the dominant grocery chain in that state, as h.e.b. is the dominant grocery chain of texas. it sells pretty good soda, i'll say that much.

because dragons tend to explode when the fire in them can't be contained any more, especially if their wounds arent' tended...

and the tooth faery, will use the wings to give her dress the ability to give her flight.

yes, it's pretty cool to note someone else from the south texan area is here as well.. as well as others from texas who thrift too.

I went to my local goodwill a week ago...

I picked up two NES games($1.99 each), two Nintendo zappers($1.99 each), one 2600 game($1.99), one of those interact vibrating back things that are supposed to make you feel the game($9.99), and a Sony Mavica with battery($9.99).

I think the interact thing might not work though I do have all the parts, it just seemed to just vibrate the same manner constantly when I hooked it up to a radio.

The Mavica works pretty well, and was a rather convenient find as my regular digital camera had something go bad in it and had half it's buttons stop working just a week earlier(and just a month after the waranty expired.)

Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity of it yet? There should be a place to make the adjustment on the little junky amplifier that you plug everything into.

I never had much fun with that Interactor though. I bought one when my local Meijers was clearing them out (probably for around $10 - $15) and tried it out mostly on my 3DO. After carefully adjusting it, I had it about to the point where it would only vibrate when I fired my weapons... even then it wasn't that fun.

Despite all of this, I still happen to own two of them... :D

Yeah, I messed around with the settings. I had it hooked up to a portable radio.... It seemed all I could do was make it vibrate continuesly more or less... I'll be trying it on something else in a bit though.

I'm posting from my sister's house in Morgan City, Louisiana. Before I left home, I printed out directions for all the thrifts that were on the route here, but since I left on Sunday, virtually none of them were open. I did pick up James Pond 3 and Strider Returns for the Genesis in a junk shop in the middle of nowhere, and also a copy of Bug! for the Saturn in Sulphur, LA. And yesterday I did pick up three Philips CD-i games in a Goodwill in Houma, LA - specifically, Connect Four, Cartoon Jukebox, and Backgammon. And also a copy of Road Rash for the Genesis.

What gets me is the oddball hours the thrift shops have down here. They have hours like 9am-Noon, only open on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I've been to so many closed thrift stores in the past couple days it's not funny. I seem to show up two to three minutes after they close. I keep hoping that i'll go into some, and find good stuff like a toploading NES, or a Vectrex complete with 3D imager, or a Neo-Geo with a dozen games for $5 or something, but i'm not really finding anything of interest down here. I hoped that the out-of-the-way places might have cooler stuff, but overall i'm pretty disappointed. About the only decent thing I might have bought (but passed on) was a six-switch Atari 2600. I'm not sure if it was a Heavy Sixer or not, I didn't get that good of a look.

I have one more free day until I have to make the drive back home, so I will try to hit some of those dang thrifts BEFORE they close. And I also plan on hitting a few on the trip back. Although not too many, because i'll be driving with a couple ice chests full of fresh gulf shrimp, and assorted cajun foods that people requested I bring back for them.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I also picked up three ActionMaxx video cassettes, Sonic Fury, .38 Ambush Alley, and Hydrosub: 2021. Along with a copy of "Challenge of the Gobots", just for the heck of it. All bought at that junk shop. They also had an old 1950's era pinball game, called something like Flying Ace, that needed some renovation, for $45. It was left outside under an awning, so it was pretty rusty. I was wondering if that kind of thing was worth buying and fixing up. Anyone? :?:
