I was going through my games and found an old RPG (even the opening screen of the game says it's based on Dungeons and Dragons lol) which uses ASCII characters for the graphics.

Several people have said that it's rare because they haven't heard of it. I check out lemon64 and gb64 and they don't have it listed on their databases either.

Here's a pic of the disk (I only have the disk... no box or manual... ) and a pic of a screenshot.

Just looking to see if anyone here has encountered this title before?

You could try contacting AtariAge member Sydric at the Personal Computer Museum in Brantford, Ontario. www.pcmuseum.ca They have a huge collection of C64 material including some rare and one of a kind items. Sydric is also a walking encyclopedia of gaming and may know something about this title.

Hey guys. It looks like it's quite a limited release from N.E.T. software (who produced several other titles around that time period). I have contacted a former producer at N.E.T. software and will let you know what he says about the game!

My guess is that this thing needs to be archived - King_Salamon if you have the capability of creating a D64 image then please do so. If not, perhaps you would consider lending the disk to us at the Personal Computer Museum so we can do it for the community to enjoy.

Great find either way! I love trying to figure out these old titles.

I don't have the capability of creating D64 images unfortunately. As a matter of fact, I was in negoatiations with another Atariage member regarding the sale of the disk with some other titles. We both wanted to know more about the title and this is what it has turned up! I do have a backup disk of this title as well. (I had backups of everything back then!) Not sure if that is of use to the museum but I am sure we can arrange something.

I guess we wait and see what other information there is on this title. It is quite exciting!

Still waiting for a response from the guy that worked at the company, however, King_Salamon if you send us a copy of the disk (even if it's just a copy not the original, as long as it works 100%) we will make a D64 image of it and share it with everyone (and of course, GB64 as well, thanks Mayhem). Sound good? You would be helping the community overall.

*Note: Do not think that this is an April's Fool joke. The pics were taken last week.*

Eric found a copy of the game, CIB, among the donations for the computer museum he works for. He took some pics:
