ozma wars
hi there am 43 y.o. and play Vectrex since 1982. unfortunately, I am a faithful fan of the Colecovision homebrew scene but have not the time to follow the Vectrex one. Someone is able to resume here which games were made during the golden era and which are the games realized since the 90's ' who the programmers for the "new" games ? I would like to buy now all the missing games to my collection Thanks in advance MAX
Seob
I bought Debris Revisited from revival studio. He also got a few more games available, just check his site: http://www.revival-studios.com BTW this should be posted in the classic gaming section of this board, not the classic computer section. desiv
Someone is able to resume here which games were made during the golden era and which are the games realized since the 90's ' who the programmers for the "new" games ? The Vectrex has one of the best homebrew activity among the old systems. John Dondzila wrote (I believe) the first vectrex homebrew and has written several games. He has a great site on the Vec: http://www.classicgamecreations.com/ Alex Herbert's excellent Protector is a MUST OWN... Revival makes great stuff, as mentioned above. Christopher Tumber's Tsumani and Spinnerama are great, but hard to get a hold of... His Omega Chase is epic. :-) Claw Cowgill... Manu... Chris Salomon... Ronen Habot... There's probably more people I'm forgetting... And there's some great homebrew hardware. LCD 3D glasses adapter, Genesis joypad modification, VecVoice, VecMulti.. Various other multicarts... There's great stuff on the VEC!!! desiv Edited September 19, 2011 by desiv
VectrexMad!
checkout http://www.vectrex.nl and select the [GAMES] tab to see a list of Vectrex games both original (vintage) and home brew. Its not upto date as it doesn't cover any new homebrews from 2009 onwards (which are quite a lot), but the list is still useful nevertheless. Edited September 21, 2011 by VectrexMad! Mayhem
Although quite a bit of homebrew was merely for download, not purchase as a cartridge. Oddly enough the Wiki page does a good job of documenting what has been released... and Vec Pilot is almost out too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Vectrex_games

FURY
you have to buy at least ONE release from Fury Unlimited. good stuff! Thanks for the mention ; ) I released Sundance just 1 week ago! Check it out: http://www.furyunlimited.com/_sgg/m1_1.htm It's an extremely accurate re-creation of the Cinematronics classic. Several game modes, better sun graphics/animation, 1 or 2 players. This is my first game with a simultaneous 2-player mode (2 controllers needed). I released War of the Worlds in June. Another Cinematronics remake with some updated game play. http://www.furyunlimited.com/_sgg/m1m2_1.htm At the beginning of the year I released Zantis, which is loosely based on the raster game Spiders. http://www.furyunlimited.com/_sgg/m1m3_1.htm Last year, I released a series of games, the Sector-X trilogy: 3D Sector-X, Sectis, and Continuum. And years ago, Royal 21, 3D Lord of the Robots, Vector 21, I Cyborg, and War of the Robots. Warrior will be my next release: http://www.furyunlimited.com/_sgg/m1m1_1.htm The following games are currently available for puchase: I, Cyborg Royal 21 Sectis Continuum Zantis War of the Worlds Sundance
Hamburgerman
I am just seeing this thread. I just purchased War of the Worlds, Sundance and Zantis from George at Fury Unlimited. They will not disappoint the Vectrex fan. Really good stuff. I am looking for a VecFlash, BTW. I know they are incredibly hard to find, but does anyone know where one might be available? Thanks Joe Houston TX

Congrats on "War of the Worlds" - amazing work! Are you shipping the game in an "original" 80ies box design? Just curious...I am interested in ordering, but dislike the VHS box design/feel... Mayhem
Generally, yes. And less resistant to damage. And most homebrews don't come with overlays, so the extra space isn't really needed.

Well..thats sad...I always liked cardboard boxes for video games much more than plastic.
iesposta
Well..thats sad...I always liked cardboard boxes for video games much more than plastic. That's too bad as two of THE BEST top 5 games come in a VHS box design - Vectrexians and Vector Pilot, and they have professional overlays. 50TBRD
I always thought itd be nice if there was a service like that printed custom boxes like I've seen for the 2600 however, looking at this thread, it looks like a nice solution. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/119903-build-your-own-atari-2600-boxes/
