+5-11under Posted December 23, 2011 Share Posted December 23, 2011 Should be fine. P=VI or P=V*V/R (P is power in Watts, V is voltage in volts, I is current in amps, R is resistance in ohms). For instance, if the voltage drop is 3.3V (LED 1.7V, adding up to 5V), and the resistor is 300 ohms, then power is about 0.036 Amps (36 mA, or about 1/27 W).
