z28in82
Well since I got the girlie hooked on here I figured that the least I could do is get her an Atari of her own. Much like me she never had one growing up so she doesn't know what she missed out on. So basically I'm lookin for either a 2600 or a 7800 pretty much complete and maybe a few games. Ya know a nice newbie package. So if anyone can help me out just let me know a total. Thanks alot, ME
oesii
Have you looked around locally at thrifts or flea markets (probably better)? I was just at a flea today and they had a 7800 complete with a few games for about $30 and a 2600 for $25. Those aren't the greatest prices but it beats having to pay shipping. I got my 3 2600's paying less than $10 at goodwills just to give you an idea.
z28in82
Not much around here that way. If you can find anything it is over priced, kinda the "I saw it on ebay for XXX much, you I want xxx+ $10" Not even worth the time

If you can find anything it is over priced, kinda the "I saw it on ebay for XXX much, you I want xxx+ $10" Not even worth the time Sounds like Philly, I heard they were getting mobs together to beat up visiting Bucs fans Lol, I love the hype for this game, 24 hours of sports radio trash talking and misinformation Anyway, if you are interested in those systems above I can probably pick them up this weekend but they may not be around for too long. Although the main vendor I like to go to has new systems coming in all the time. But he's pretty firm about system prices, I get great deals on game trades but not systems usually. I think those prices are alright for local pickup but they are also close to what you would pay minus shipping on eBay so it's not that great of a bargain. z28in82
Hey maybe the radio was wrong, maybe you bucs fans aren't all that bad   And if you should come across a decent working 7800 just let me know I'll send you the money how ever you want. Thanks alot.
ahector
hey, if any of you know people or places that might have better deals than ebay on the east coast of the US (preferably new england)? Any leads would be appreciated. i've tried a couple flea markets but just started really. i feel like there's fewer places to look in the winter too. but if anyone has any ideas i'd be glad to take 'em! ahector
just out of curiosity, what would a woodgrain console cost you there (4 or 6 doesn't matter to me) and then how much for you to be able to send it?
oesii
down here in Florida, I've found two 2600's for about $10 each in the last few months at goodwills, but that pretty much hit or miss. If I needed to get a console tomorrow I could get one for around $25 at a flea market and I'm guessing it would be around $10-15 to ship in the US. $25 is for a complete system with a few games, I'm sure a bare console could be had for $10. z28in82
Actually oesii if you care to know, for the most part it isn't Philly fan that deserve the bad rep. There were 35 arrest last week for/durring the Falcons game and most were peopel who lived in Jersey, Delawar and the suburbs. of the 35 it was like only 5 that actually lived in Philly. Now that was only the arrest. And Philly fans aren't all that bad, no worse than at the Black Hole, or the dogg pound, or even the Meadowlands (can't call it Giant stadium). but for some reason we get the rep of being the biggest aholes of all football fans, go figure?? And how would you like for me to send you the money? paypal?Check? Money order? just let me know
oesii
yeah, I know most Philly people are good fans, I'm originally from New York City so Philly is similar but a little different. Although, I hear those section 700 people are trouble I'll have a look for that 7800 system tomorrow morning. I'm not swinging by there today, at the least I can get you a good 2600 setup and I'll let you know tomorrow. If I do end up picking it up, I'm flexible with payment, Paypal or check whatever works for you. I'll be in touch
ahector
i'd be interested in a 2600 too if it's 10 for a ready to play console or less than 25 for a console and a few games if that is still possible for you to find. it's pretty hard up here in new england so let me know. thanks.
