+Sauron
Holy crapola!!!!! I sure hope everything works out well for Jeff. He's always been one of my favorite game designers, as I've been playing his games since the C64 days. Good luck to him!
bigferret
This kicks ass! I've been waiting to see what he was going to do for months now. He's been hinting about it on his site, but couldn't give any details until now. Woohoo!!!!

ZylonBane
Which classic game will it be a ripoff of?!
+Sauron
Hehe, good question. But from what this sounds like, this may be his most original game yet. The closest anyone is comparing it to is Rez, but he says it's only like Rez in that it's an abstract shooter. I can't wait to see!

eric_ruck
Actually, even cooler that Minter is working with Lionheart, that should be a cool collaboration. Eric
Mayhem
Everyone associated in any way with Jeff (including myself) is hyped about all of this. Even though some of us already knew, or guessed what the setup was (the hints have been there on his site, you just had to spot them!). Considering he's had the idea for this game since after he finished T2K, it's taken a while for the hardware to catch up to the vision This year should be... interesting

Gregory DG
On this page http://www.lionhead.com/unity/ Peter Molyneux says Jeff Minter inspired him to be a game programmer. Wow! Quote: "In announcing this exciting collaborative venture Peter Molyneux said "Jeff Minter is one of the people that inspired me to get into the industry. I queued along with everyone else in the 80's to get his autograph and even considered getting a Llama! To be working with one of the founding figures of this industry is huge honour, I am sure we'll be producing a game that is amazing and unique. Jeff Minter responded "I am very happy indeed finally to be able to talk about this excellent collaboration between Llamasoft and Lionhead which will allow me to work on what is basically my dream project. The chance to undertake this work with the backing of one of the best and most respected development houses in the world, and with the guidance of some of the finest and most creative minds in the business, is perhaps the greatest opportunity I have had in my entire career, and I believe that together we can produce something truly extraordinary."
