Since a few of us have started to receive the updated DK Arcade cart release. We can post our impressions in here. I started playing mine today and will play more tonight. So far it is great...and so was the Donkey Kong Arcade release by Intelligentvision, maybe we can call this Super Pro DKA. . The voices are nice. Nice label, Instructions are cool. I will try to upload a gameplay to YT soon. Also post your high score of DK Arcade. (both versions. Elektrolite or Intelligentvision...just specify!!!) Carl Mueller Jr Posted May 2, 2012 Share Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) Don't worry about the 30 FPS mode… The graphics are still being updated as fast as your TV will allow… It's just that there is going to be more flicker for objects that multiplex… But much better than been disappearing altogether! Don't forget to specify Game 1 or Game 2 when listing your high score… And of course, the character you played as. :-) And preferably, call it D1K to differentiate it from the original intelligentvision release . Btw.....I cant hardly play with the kid hogging the controller! He keeps hitting the buttons and not using the disc...silly kid! Don't give up! :-) Really?...I have been playing without taking pics and paying attention. All of my score so far have been in the 5k to 7k range anyway.....Tonight I will beat it!!! You have to keep your wits about you and try to watch the whole screen at once. The timing on the screen where DK throws girders seems a bit random to get up the final ladder, but I am still in an adjustment period. Toni's the most fun to play with for me, since his speed fits in with the difficulty of the game in general. Great score !! I thought the same about the girders as well.. Also the AI on the fire seems a little too good sometimes .. Are you using the 30 FPS mode ?
